Gideon tore down the alter of Baal, & and cut down the wooden image beside it. He was to build and Alter for the Lord Gideon was asked to build an alter for worship to the Lord only and to sacrifice the second bull from his fathers herd that was seven years old. He was to use the wood from the Asherah pole to sacrifice the bull.

Judges: 6-16 And the Lord said to him, " Surely I will be with you, and you shall defeat the Midianites as one man." Mark: 6-23 Jesus said to him, " If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes." Philipians: 4-13 I can do all things through him who strengthens me. Dear Lord, cleans me of all unrightousness, so I can be more like you. AMEN:

God saw Gideon as a mighty warrior, God new what Gideon was capable of,( AS GOD SEE'S THE END FROM THE BEGINNING) Gideon was very unsure of himself, and felt weak ( unworthy ) Like Gideon we can feel very unworthy & weak, But when we put our trust in God and step out in faith, we can do all things though Christ Jesus who strenghtens us. Oh what a mighty God we serve, PRAISE HIS HOLY NAME.

The Israelites broke the second commandment, Thou shall have no other Gods before me. We are to put God first in everything and worship him alone. No matter what we are going though we are to keep our eyes on God, he is the same yesterday tody and tomorrow, and His way's are not our ways.

Gideon blamed God for abanding him, It was Israel who abanded God.
