  1. The people had begun partaking in idolatry. A loving God can be angry because He is a just God as well. His doctrine was not being followed therefore He was righteous in His anger. Once again, God is just and righteous, therefore what ever the sentence was to be was right and just. God bless you.
  2. I believe we should always ask forgiveness because we need forgiveness. None of us are perfect. Therefore we require forgiveness. And for those that prefer to maintain a rather shallow POV what have you got to lose, the forgiveness is free after all. God's blessings can be blocked by unforgiveness, IMHO, by the fact He is a righteous and just Lord, by us maintaining a state of unforgiveness that prevents us from moving toward a righteous state of being. We choose to be unforgiving, we therein choose to be unrighteous, this is uncompatible with God's nature. God bless you
  3. I believe we seek to be independant for the same reason as a number of other things in life we do....Pride and ego. We do not want to appear as weak. As if that is something to be ashamed of. There is much more strength in numbers therefore it makes much more sense to accomplish things with others. I also think the same applies for being independant of God. Most non-believers won't or don't accept help from others they can touch and see, it is not so surprising, (yet disappointing,IMHO) independance from God is sought after. Our daily bread should be sought from God as He is our Creator, He is our author; I know I am "preaching to the choir", but these are my opinions and my heartfelt answers; He knows what we need before we come to the realization what we need. If we were to be completely honest about our situations we would admit that the more we try on our own the more we tend to err. Does it not make much more sense to follow someone that has our best interest? Is this not what we are to impart on our children? Then why be hypocritical and not listen to our Heavenly Father? God Bless you
  4. We should ask for forgiveness because we are sinners. It is our nature. We need to continually ask for forgiveness because of our nature to turn toward sin. By being unforgiving we harbor that sin in ourselves and by doing such, we cannot receive God's grace. We must forgive so as not to harbor such things.
  5. Pride Pride Pride. We are far too prideful for our own good. We should rely on God. He has stated we should do so. yet pride does not let us do so.
  6. We are asking God that His kingdom, His will, His glory be manifest on this earth. We should always ask that His will be done. He is the creator, Lord, Father. It should never be our will. This prayer should affect us by keeping those words. For if we turn towards sin and not away from it, we are not abiding that His will be done; but instead are trying to endorse our will.
  7. Leading our lives in a way toward Christ hallows God and His name. By turning toward sin and not away from it desecrates and besmirches God. I agree with Adetomi when he stated that we should go into God's presence respectfully, reverently, full of praise, thanks and worship, and do it truthfully and with all our hearts.
