  1. Response to sin by whom is a good point. That clever Ralph often makes us THINK, huhb? Anger by God because he is Holy. By us, as we are to have the mind of Christ, and thus are of the family of God and thus should find sin repugnant. It takes time, but thanks to ALL who posted. The forum is an education apart from and yet part of the particular study!!! Even before I got to Julie's post I thought and experienced this as a kind of "assembling together" Capricious anger arises more from our personal emotions and is not connected to necessarily to holiness or justice. Thanks again ALL
  2. Another short answer. Yes to BOTH. Exodus 29 38 "This is what you are to offer on the altar regularly each day: two lambs a year old. 39 Offer one in the morning and the other at twilight. and besides Leviticus 1-7 see also Lev16 Oh, and there's more. SIN IS BIG!
  3. Also radicalness is displayed in the idea of "sins of the world" since "salvation of the Gentiles was relatively foreign to the Jewish pursuit of religion.
  4. Hi all I'm happy to be studying this Bilbe study and having an opportunity to learn not only from Pastor Ralph, but from you all as well. Joining you from Portland, OR. Peace and Grace McKay
  5. In defference to the many and several wonderful posts offered (thanks all) I'm going to suggest that "taking away the sins" is a key to sacrifice. It is fundamental to the Jewish context that a blood sacrifice was offered to God and that sins were taken away. Radical was the idea of a one time sin offering.
