We honor God's name by living our lives as Jesus instructed us to do. Our actions proclaim the truth of whether or not we are a Christian. Not only using the name of our Lord in vain is disrespectful; but not setting an example of Christian life is disrespectful. It's hard to show others the love of God if gossip, bitterness, etc are part of our every day life. When we pray we should always take time to just soak in the presence of God. To approach Him with quietness and stillness and listen to His guidance for us in how we should pray. We need to praise Him, confess, give thanks and then focus on what He is directing us to pray for.
