  1. Q1. What is the basis of Abraham's argument that God should spare Sodom? How does it relate to God's character? his basis is that he knows GOD is a just and righteous GOD. GOD is mercifull he wants to save not destroy.
  2. Q4. How can prayer change God's mind without conflicting with the doctrine of the Immutability of God? Can God answer a prayer for something outside of the scope of his will? Prayer can change the out come of any givin situation as scripture gives us examples of this. GODs mind is beyond human comprehension thus it is hard to go buy a doctrine derived in mans mind. I understand it's pupose for theological study however it is are actions and prayer that changes outcomes. I personally don't feel comfortable saying what GOD can or cant do. HE is allmighty nothing is to great for HIM it is GOD's choice do not put the LORD thy GOD to the test.
  3. Q3. How can a wrong understanding of determinism and predestination keep us from the kind of gutsy prayer that Moses prayed? What do you call a belief that our prayers make no difference to God's response? if we believe all is set in stone know matter what then how can we pray for change or some one to be healed if this was the case then prayer would be for praise only scince that sick person was predestined to die . I believe GODS will will be done. but moses prayer shows us that GODS will was done but with a different outcome. How many times do we have to open our hearts and minds to know that GOD will do whatever he can to give people the oppurtunity. to live to his accord as a father I myself have changed my punishment based on what my son said. Why then should we expect less from ourGOD who has power over all things we are to take our problems to HIM HE wants to help ask and you shall recieve. as long as your on the right path that is our sin or disbelief or doubt can block these blessings. predestination GOD is allmighty how do we know his plans HE could have many paths for us with many different outcomes. Nothing is to Hard for the LORD I believe GOD wants the best for us and we have to seek his guidence through the holy spirit. Pray with your heart that is filled with the spirit not with your tainted flesh mind.
  4. Q2. What aspects of Moses' prayer of intercession should we emulate in our own prayers? Upon what logical grounds does Moses offer this bold appeal to God? What do you think it means to "pray the promises of God"? How does knowing the Bible help you get your prayers answered? How does this help our prayers be within God's will? First of all Moses put his people before himself, then he stated his case as to why. When we pray for some one we have to do the same we have to be able to state a case for the prayer in accordance with GODs will. Moses's prayer is based on the logic of GODs promise to his people and what the heathens would say about him if he did his judgement Moses wanted the LORDs name to be exhallted and give no reason for non-believers to question the power and glory of GOD. I think to pray the promises of GOD we are just humbly reminding theLORD of the promises he has made to us and asking for him to make good on those promises. If we know the scriptures we can pray acorrding to the promises made in the scriptures. And I believe this helps to alighn us with the Holy Spirit which is are link to GOD. If we pray according to scripture we are praying according to GODs word. His guide to us a letter if you will on how to live our lives to be pleasing to HIM. If what we pray is in acordance with the bible then it is GODs will for HE told us so.
  5. Q1. Read Exodus 32:1-14. What had the people done that was so bad? How can a loving God be angry? Is God's sentence to destroy Israel and raise up a new nation through Moses justified? The people of israel turned away from their faith in GOD and built a idol a golden calf that they worshiped and made burnt offerings to and even went as far as to say this idol is what delivered us from Pharoh. This is a total sin and really a slap in the face to the LORD or GOD. Just like a just loving earthly father can get angry when we disobey him. Why then and who are we to Question are GOD who is the creator of all and master of all on earth and in heaven. Of course GODs sentence is justified. HIS will be done he would still fullfill his promise through moses. The Isrealites were lucky to have Moses intercede for them his punishment was just with out any doubt.
  6. Q4. Why should we continually ask forgiveness? How can unforgiveness on our part block God's blessing? How can unforgiveness block God's forgiveness? We should continually ask for forgiveness because we need it. We sin always even if we don't mean to sometimes we do it without even knowing. So its important to ask the Lord to always wash away the sin. When we have unforgiveness in our heart we are usually not as happy as we can be. It is tuff to be happy with a bitter heart and that bitterness would block the happiness and blessing that are Father would like to bestow upon us. Simple GOD is willing to forgive us as much as we forgive others.
  7. Q3. Why do we seek to be independent of asking anyone for help? Why do we seek to be independent of God? Why should we ask God to "give" us daily bread so long as we can earn a living for ourselves? As humans we tend to believe that the accomplishments made are ours. We see asking for help as a sighn of weakness especialy us veterans who were trained to be self sufficiant and strong. independance fromGOD is a form of fear that we will not be able to live the way we want the partys over we now have a high standard to try and live by so as humans we try to distance ourselves from the responsibility. We may be able to work but that is a blessing from GOD that can be taken away at anymoment it is not wrong to ask GOD for what we need the bible says ask and you shall recieve our Father wants to help but he wants us to give him the respect of asking and the glory of us knowing that we should ask and not expect of him for it is his will that will be done not ours.
  8. Q2. In what sense are we asking that the Father's kingdom should come? Why are we asking for the Father's will to be done here on earth? How should this prayer affect our living? We our asking our Father to make a speedy return so that we can live in his glory here on earth. I believe we ask the Fathers will be done here on earth to glorify him and show the world how his plan is comming to be. He has a plan written out for us in the bible and his will be done. By praying this we are acknowledging his will and anticipating it. We should live our lives in a christian way so we are not caught sleeping when his will is done and we should give ourselves wholly to him so that we may be tools in his grand plan.
  9. Living our lives in way that makes GOD happy, and having the fear of GOD in us. By fear I mean the understanding that we incappable of anything without god that it is only through the father that we exist, and can accomplish any thing and just like hear on earth when we do wrong we fear what our father will say or do. I feel its the same with GOD we know he loves us but we fear him when we do wrong so we try to do right to make him proud we are always seeking his approval. When we get angry and gd or jc blurts out of our mouths not in joy but as if to curse.this desecrates his good name. I also feel that if you intentionally decieve some one and then say GOD bless you you are smearing his good name. When we pray we should recognise that he is all mighty that everything in this world is his and because of him I don't know how to put in words other than saying Father I exist because of you Without you I am just dirt and clay.
