  1. Father usually shows love , compassion and also shows the character of his strength and protection the the child. The child usually looks to the Father as a symbol of love and protection. The child grows strong because the Father is strong and trains the child to be strong. At times Father also disciplines the child and tries to embed right values in the child. whether a mother or father it is the Holy Spirit who teaches us and builds us with the traits that depict that of a father and mother to take care of new christians. All we need to do is focus on Jesus and take guidance from Him to take care his flock that is given in our hands to be taken care.
  2. A new born baby is nutured in the care and comfort of a mother. The mother's love becomes the greatest force for the baby to grow from infancy to adulthood. The mother invests everything into the child and carefully and gently watches the behaviour of the child from its early stage - infact at every stage the mother loves, cares teaches noursihes with food and takes the child to the destination where it needs to be. in the same way when God puts the new born christians in our lives we too with the caring and gentle attitude-- holding their hands , being them , watching them, teaching them the Word of God will be able to lead them to the fullness of Christ and to the destination which God has promised them. Our love and time that we spent on their behalf will not be a waste when we see them standing as strong witnesses for Christ and serving Him with all love and in turn bringing many more into the Kingdom of Light. male members too require to have in them gentlenss of the Holy Spirit to take care of new belivers.
  3. Every character flaw mentioned in the verses 3: 6 are hindrances in spreading the pure and holy Gospel of Christ Jesus. impure motives, love for money, seeking fame and glory for oneself, being pleasers of men, seeking apprection from people, being self righteous, proud and having control over others whom the Lord has put under our care all these do not allow us to establish the Kingdom of God. humbling ourselves everyday in prayer before the Lord most high - leaning on to his Word and depending on the Holy Spirit to lead us and examining our lives in His God's presence and basing oursleves on the Word of God can lead us to preach the Gospel as Paul did.
  4. Courage--- to tell someone about Jesus and hs teachings comes only by the Holy Spirit. when i spend time in God's presence i am become bold and courageous to speak about the love of God to a unbeliever or a new christian. Jesus came to give life and life in its fullness. The enemy steals , kills and destroys. The enemy tries to put all fears to speak about God and his Word to the people whom God instructs us to speak to. at this point we require the courage and boldness that can come only from God's presence and makes our speaking effective or discipling a new christian in the ways of the Lord Jesus.
  5. Hebrews 9:28- So Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many people, and he will appear a second time , not to bear sin , but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him. Our true faith in Christ in verse 10 is based on the above word of God too. we have put our faith in Jesus Chrsit who has washed away our sins by his precious blood and we wait expectantly for his coming who was raised from the dead and he will save us from the wrath of the enemy.
  6. Immitation becomes very vital in the formation of a new christiain. The new born christian observes every action and behavoiur of a strong matured christian and follows the same example. Spending time at the feet of the Lord and taking guidance from his Holy Spirit , reading the word of God and living by the principles of the word of God are major requriements for a new believer to build his christian faith. The word of God says in 1 peter 1:15-- But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do; for it is written Be holy, as I am Holy. God is holy and we his people should walk in his holiness and build up a holy character. our character that resembles God's nature and we living by the word of God makes new born christians commit their lives to God and live for the purposes of God. fellowship with a community of faithful christians becomes necessary for us to grow in Christ. we as christians are able to pray together, share the word of God and also concern for each other in prayer and deeds helps us establish the Kingdom oof God in a very effective way. A person by himself will not be able to fulfil the plan and purposes of God without the support of a strong praying fellowship. My character built by the word of God can be a true example for my family members to commit their lives to Jesus and live for their lives for the love of God.
  7. Romans 8:14 tells us that those who are led by the Spirit of God are called sons of God. Holy Spirit is our guide and counsellor who leads us and guides us. our ministry can be effective only when we completely yeild and submit ourselves to the voice to the mighty Holy Spirit. we can do nothing without the guidance of the Holy Spirit and the ministry that we do the for the love of God can bear fruit when we are led by hios Holy Spirit. if we work based on will power-- or based on human knowledge or human wisdom it cannot bear fruit which God has willed and they become dead works. when the Gospel is preached accompanied with signs and wonders it makes a person believe in the Word of God and commit thier lives to Jesus Christ. when a person has no love for God and not developed a strong relationship with Christ and no love for the word of God - they will not believe in the miracles too.
  8. In galatains 2:20 we read Paul writes-- I have been crucified with Christ and it is no longer i who live but Christ lives in me. The life i now live in the body, i live by faith in the Son of God who loved me and gave himself for me--- Paul commited his whole being to Christ and built a strong relationship with Christ. His love for Jesus was complete and his surrender to to the will of Christ was total. He realised his purpose was to live for the will of Christ and accomplish the purposes of Christ. Love for Christ and his one purpose of preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ filled with the power of the Holy Spirit gave him immense strength against all the violent reactions he had to face while preaching the Gospel. Violent reactions do not and should not stop us from fulfiling God's purposes. when we spent time in God's presence and receive his love and peace and courage we will be able to do whatever he has called to do joyfully. moreover when we are guided every moment by His Holy Spirit to do the work of the Lord-- violent reactions dont affect us instead they make us stronger and bolder and we are able to say-- ALL THINGS GOD WORKS FOR THE GOOD OF THOSE WHO LOVE HIM.
  9. Paul had an encounter with Jesus Christ and fully commited himself to Christ and determined to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ which did not simply came by words but by the power of the Holy Spirit. The Jews and all others did not agree to these taechings filled with the Power of the Holy Spirit. added to this many a number left their old religion and started accepting and following the Gospel of the Lord Jesus. unbelief, hatred, and hardness of heart on account of the jews led to the opposition of Paul's ministry.
  10. Meditation of these psalms have made me Praise God joyfully. Psalm 126 has filled me with great confidence that God brings deliverance and victory in every situation that we surrender into His care. He fills us with joy and God does mighty things when we Praise Him and allow Him to be our Lord and Master. Psalm 24 has brought about a great awareness in me that when we are lead pure and clean lives free from sin and walk in God's ways then we are blessed by God Most High. whatever we do we prosper when we fear the Lord and obey His Word.
  11. The Lord the maker of Heaven and earth is the creator of the Universe. He created all things and everything rightly belongs to Him. God is the ruler and Master of his creation and declared in Psalm 24:1-2. He owns the earth and every creation is subject to his reign. Our God who is the King of glory, the creator of the universe requires us to be pure and blameless in His sight. As the word of God says - Be holy as I am Holy. He is holy and He wants people of clean heart to come into His holy presence. He requires us to give Him the first place and never hold anything or anyone greater than Him our lives and our lives have to be free from all malice and falsehood to stand in his holy presence. Verses 7 to 10 in Psalm 24 teaches us to exalt and magnify the Lord of Lords and the King of Kings who is the Creator of everything. Our hearts and minds have to open to praise Him, adore Him and worship Him so that He can come into our lives and fill us with His glory.
  12. God rescued the nation of Israel from the land of exile and brought them back to their own land. The people of Israel lived in great sadness when they were in exile and coming back to their own land looked impossible. They had dreams and desires to be free from slavery. And when the Lord... the God who makes all things possible delivers the nation of Israel from captivity they were filled with unexplainable joy! Their hearts were rejoicing over God's faithfulness because the Lord had done great things for them. This victory gives them the confidence to ask their good God (Verse 4) to restore unto them all they lost. A wadi or dry gully is a dry place and filled with water only during rain season. There are sudden showers when the land has experienced a season of dryness. God amazes us with His sudden favours for which we may have waited in prayer for a long time. A sudden mighty blessing can come our way when we least expect it. Sowing and reaping is like one action has a reaction and length of time is also involved. when we sow seeds of any of kind we reap the harvest from that seed that we have sown in abundance. we sow love and mercy we reap and abundance of love and mercy. we sow kindness and generosity we reap the same in abundance.
  13. Ascribe to the Lord glory and strength- This we give credit or we give glory to the Lord in everything. we give Him the due respect and honor for all His faithfulness to us. we give Him the glory for all every good thing he does for us. we give him the due honor that He deserves as our God and our Lord. we humble ourselves in His presence and we acknowledge that He is the ruler of our lives. with a heart of thanksgiving we allow Him to reign in our lives and submit to His plans and His will. when we do not ascribe to the Lord glory or in other words when we do not give Him the due credit for what He has done for us and what He is to us then the Lord is not pleased with us. He cannot guide us and lead us and we are not able to enjoy His presence. The anointing of His Holy Spirit over our lives gradually decreases and we may tend to lose His good plans for us and His mighty blessings if we do not acknowledge God as our source of life. Psalm 147 verse 1 declares- How pleasant and fitting it is to praise the Lord!! It is fitting to praise the Lord because we give Him all the glory and honor. He is worthy of our praises because He is the maker of heaven and earth. when we Praise our God we acknowledge his rule and reign over our lives. It is fitting to praise Him because our heavenly Father seeks worshipers who worship Him in Spirit and in Truth.
  14. God inhabits in the praises of his people. when faced with situations that look impossible to handle or things that happen which seems to have no answers then we begin to reason and try to solve the necessary situations. In these moments, the power of praise diminishes and doubt and unbelief take over the power of praise. In the face of trying circumstances we just sit down reasoning the given circumstances and this makes way for sadness and worry. The thoughts of a particular circumstance keep coming in our minds and hence the words that come out of our mouth too are full of the concerned circumstance. Praises to God are choked by these thoughts and it makes difficult for the person to stand up and Praise our God. In spite of trying circumstances when we sing and shout Praises to the Lord we become calm and peaceful. Peace divine fills our souls and then we are able to derive strength from God as we continually sing praises unto Him. Praises enable us to know the will of God, it saves us from making wrong decisions and enables us to wait upon the Lord. Praises bring hope and deliverance to any situation. Praises make way for God to act on behalf of us and fight all our battles. Our attitudes become positive and we are built with attitude of faith.
  15. These psalms encouraged me and as i meditated on these psalms i was able surrender all my cares and anxieties to Jesus my Shepherd. i am filled with confidence that as i make the Lord my Shepherd- he guides me, protects me and leads me in His paths which are good for me. i am filled with peace and filled with joy that the Lord is with me and i shall not be in want!
  16. we need to come into the presence of God and when we sit at His feet and begin to worship Him a divine peace begins to settle in our minds and in our hearts. God dwells in the praises of His people. when we shout praises to God and sing praises to His Holy Name we begin to feel the divine presence of God take over our troubled hearts and minds. All our cares and worries, anxieties begin to fade away and the Presence of God calms our inner most being. From an atmosphere of praise we are then able to worship the Lord and His mighty presence removes every type of weariness from us and our souls are quietened in His presence. This enables us to rest in God. Our souls find rest in God alone. This rest comes to our inner most being and also our physical bodies find rest in His Presence. when i come into God's presence everyday through Praising Him, worshiping Him and listening to His Voice my soul finds rest in Him. i am able to find God's peace amidst various situations as i choose to Praise Him continually. As i shout praises to God and declare His promises i find God's peace reigning in my heart - no matter what circumstances are around me.
  17. Psalm 46:4- There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God. A clean flowing river gives a image of calmness, coolness and great peace. when we sit by a river side and allow our dip our feet in its cooing waters we feel refreshed and our minds are revived. In the same way when we enter God's presence with praises and begin to sing and adore the mighty and living God - His presence fills our hearts and minds, our souls are refreshed in God's presence and we are filled with great peace of the Lord Almighty. To a harassed and troubled soul - God's presence comes like streams and the soul is gladdened by the power of His Holy Spirit. Be still and Know that I am God- the very words provide a great relief to our souls that we can lay down ourselves at the Lord's feet and we are filled with great peace that we have a great God who calms the roaring seas and also is able to calm all troubles of our life. when we are filled with this peace that our God goes before us and fights all our battles - the words that we speak are full of faith and full of confidence in Yahweh God. we are able to say through our words-- GOD IS REFUGE AND MY STRENGTH, MY GOD IN WHOM I TRUST. When we are filled with this Knowledge that God is able, God is mighty then we only need to wait on God and worship Him and allow God to act on our behalf as we remain calm and rest in God's presence.
  18. Into Your Hands i commit my spirit--It means we surrender ourselves completely in the Lord's hands and allow Him to lead us, guide us and we allow His Holy Spirit to reign in our soul and spirit. we come into God's presence with a thanksgiving heart and ask surrender our cares and worries, our needs and all our circumstances to Him and ask Him to take control of us and all our circumstances. This brings peace to us because we Know we have a mighty God who is there with us to lead us and guide us, to comfort and strengthen us and also we know when we cast all our cares and anxieties to Him , He will fight all our battles. When we commit our ways, our needs , our hopes and plans all to our God and allow Him to be the Lord and Master of our lives we are assured that God will do exceedingly abundantly much more than we can ask and imagine and this fills our soul with great peace.
  19. The Lord is my everything and I shall not be in want. Psalm 23 gives me total confidence that the Lord is with me as a shepherd cares for his sheep. Sheep have no fear when the Shepherd is around them and taking care of them. It builds a strong confidence that the Lord is the source of everything. The Lord is my strength, my help, my comfort , my provider and when i declare the Lord is my Shepherd , I shall not be in want--- He the good Shepherd becomes the source of my existence and that fills me with great joy and i don't depend on anything but i look to my Jesus the Shepherd to take care of me. The good Shepherd fills me with abundance of all kinds. He fills my soul with his love, joy , peace and also blesses me materially. He brings me into his glorious presence as i praise him and adore him- make him my Lord and Master and restores my soul with his peace and love. He guides me in the right paths and saves me from all wrong ways, wrong choices, wrong plans and decisions and saves me from all evil. i do not fear any evil for the Lord is with me and protects me and comforts me. He exalts me in the presence of my enemies and anoints me with His Holy Spirit. His goodness and mercy follows me all the time. His mercies are new every morning and as i dwell in his presence daily- the good Lord Jesus my Shepherd becomes my security and i say with all joy and confidence-- THE LORD IS MY SHEPHERD, I SHALL NOT BE IN WANT. JESUS IS MY HOPE, JESUS IS MY JOY, JESUS IS MY COMFORT, JESUS IS MY PROVIDER,JESUS IS MY LOVE, JESUS IS MY GUIDE, JESUS IS MY DELIVERER , JESUS IS MY STRENGTH AND JESUS IS MY LORD.
  20. Psalm 131 is a psalm of total surrender of the inner most being to the Lord Almighty and total dependence on God by us. David comes before his God like a innocent child that depends on the mother for all its provisions. David compares his inner most being to that of weaned child with its mother. David now detaches himself from pride, hatred, things of the world and comes before the Lord with a heart of total surrender. As he surrenders his soul ( his will, his emotions, and his intellect) to the Lord, his soul is quietened by God's presence. As he surrenders his inmost being to the Lord Almighty detaching himself from sin and self he is filled with confidence and hope in His God. Now his soul gets nourished in the presence of Yahweh God and he confidently says- O Israel, put your hope in the Lord both now and forevermore. Total surrender, humility, detachment from earthly things, and total dependence on the Lord are the elements mentioned in this psalm.
  21. Psalm 91 has reassured me that God is my protector and defender. i prayed this psalm with my friends and God has fulfilled his promises through this Psalm in our lives and in the lives of our loved ones.
  22. According to the Word of God in Psalm 91- i am truly confident that as we dwell in God's presence and we love Him and acknowledge He is our God and Lord- the Almighty God protects us from all harm and danger. God will protect us from all kind of evil and rescue us and keep us safe and protected. Surely , God is our protector and our defender. when believers do not dwell in the presence of the Most High God , disobey His Will and plans, do not listen to the Voice of His Holy Spirit and disobey the Word of God- the protection of Almighty God is lost and these things open ways for all harm and danger. Our strong belief is God is our Protector and defender as we truly love Him and walk in His ways.
  23. As David trusted God to deliver him from all trials these psalms have encouraged me to wait on the Lord for his help and deliverance. i have learnt that God is pleased with a humble heart and when we humble ourselves and cry out to God for mercy He forgives all sin we have committed against Him. Learning these psalms have made me realize that God is good God and restores and revives us in His presence when we turn to Him and acknowledge our mistakes.
  24. Psalm 121 assures me that God is my help. over the years, i have been declaring this psalm as a prayer of complete trust in God. In any circumstance, i know and i am assured that my help comes from my God alone. i am not discouraged by difficulties of life because i am assured through the beautiful verses of Psalm 121 that my God watches over me. The Maker of heaven and earth never slumbers or sleeps and sees that my feet do not slip. Nothing can harm me because my God who watches over me is at my right hand. This psalm has given me a great confidence that God is my help. i can run into His presence and pour my cares to Him and when i worship my God i feel He is there for me. i feel the strong love of my heavenly Father for me and am filled with joy that i am His child. He cares much for me and He is there besides me as my help, my deliverer, my protector , my strength and my shield. My God fights all my battles and i only need to be still and Know that He is my God who is with me all the time.
  25. we learn from Psalm 91 that when we abide in God's presence and rest in His presence- God protects us from all harm and danger. Remaining in His presence we can boldly declare that God is my fortress, God is my strength and are confident that no harm can come near us. we are completely secured in God's presence and we never fear arrows that fly by day, fear and terror of any kind. God's protection is so powerful that even thousands fall at our side we are not harmed. when I love God with all my heart and my mind, i obey His word and live a life pleasing to Him then God protects me from all danger, evil and harm and i walk with confidence knowing God protects me and my household from all kinds of evil and danger. when I love God and serve him with all my heart i become more than a conqueror. God gives me the authority to stamp the works of the enemy and enemy flees when i am completely covered by God's presence and the Blood of Jesus Christ -God's son gives me victory in all circumstances. Psalm 91:9-- when I dwell in the presence of the Most High God no harm shall befall me, no disaster will come near my home and God will put his angels in charge of me so that i am guarded from all danger and evil. Psalm91:14- when i love God with all my heart and give Him the first place in my life- He rescues me , protects me. when i call on His Name- He answers me, he delivers me from all trouble, honors me and satisfies me long and abundant life.
