In Psalms, the bible notes that David was a man of pray and praise. He went through trials and tribulation, even from his own family, but through all that he remained faithfully in Prayer. Prayer gets God to notice us,but sincere Prayer gets his fully attention. This is why I feel that David was a giant of a man in Gods sight. He was not afraid to say "look God I messed up, but I will not stop loving you, I messed up but I am still here". He kept on going because he knew if he only stop seeking God he would be a dead man. And in his seeking, he became even more dedicated to God and God prospered him in all ways. To me , once a person have that strong spiritual link to God, praying for others would be easier.

Facing a crisis help me to grow in Christ (Faith), because I had to learn to lean and trust in God. Despite how I feel, despite the fast results that I would love to get, I am forced to settle down and focus on God. I have to know that he is the God of time and space, everything belong to him, so if I take the time to seek him, he has no choice but to take the time to answer me. This will build my Trust, Dependancy and Faith in him and what he can do no matter how long it takes. As human beings, we often allow our emotions to rule over us, especially Man and his Pride. God wants us to forget about Pride, forget what people say or think. Forget what people would say if we pray in public or if we shout "Praise God" aloud. A Man pride can prevent him from reaching high levels in God. Once we can control and subdue that mountain called Pride, it will open our hearts and mind to listen and follow Gods voice.

The comfort I receive from my Faith is knowing that God is always there for me. He guides me even when I fail to be guided, he speaks to me even when I fail to listen, he loves me even when I dont deserve to be loved, he forgives me even when I dont deserve to be forgiven. My comfort is knowing that my God have my back at all times. Many times we want to find comfort in soo many things( people, money, sex,work) and fail to reach out to the one source that can really comfort us. Maybe because of the time and dedication it takes to realise this, why us as humans choose this as a last resort instead of this being the first step? We are living in an age of fast results, needing instant comfort, instant prosperity, so we often fail to understand what God has in store for us, only if we would take the time and find this out, by reading Gods word, praying with the word,meditaitng with the word and living the word.
