  1. It would do no good to try to minimize or maximize your sins. God knows every detail before you ever committed the sin. God deals on the heart level, at the very core. You can not rationalize or blame others. Taking responsibility in total honesty, repenting, turning the other way, and trusting the Lord's finished work on Calvary is what God is looking at.
  2. You must believe and have faith in God's word that says God will pardon all sin. You gain faith day to day as you study God's word, apply it to your life, and see His hand at work. "Faith comes by hearing and hearing the word of God." You must get it into your spirit.
  3. Abraham argued with God based on His righteous justice. Was it fair to destroy the righteous with the wicked? God is a holy and just God.
  4. Why bother praying or doing anything if it's already determined what is going to happen? I do believe in predestination but I believe we have an active role to play. God knows the end from the beginning...what will happen...how we will respond...what our choices will be. God wants children not robots. He wants us to seek Him, ask of Him. A belief that our prayers make no difference....ignorant. If they didn't, why did Jesus bother with such fervent prayer?
  5. Moses was bold. He knew God. He trusted God. Afterall, Moses didn't drag millions of people out into the wilderness on a "feeling". He knew he could trust God to be faithful to His word and His promises. Moses had an intimate relationship with Father God. They had seen each other face to face. God's promises are God's word and vise versa. God's word is what He knows. Jesus showed us in "The Lord's Prayer"...thy will be done... The Bible, the Word is God's will. He is not a man that He should lie.
  6. The people had rebelled against God. There was no faith, no belief in the God of their fathers. They had slave mentality and refused God's freedom by returning to bondage by worshiping an idol. God's anger was not self-centered. He knew the plans He had for His people and wanted those to come to pass for the kingdom's sake. Justified...I'm not God's judge.
  7. Hello to all in Jesus' precious name. My nam is Kathy and God moved my husband and I from Orlando, where I was born and raised, to Pikeville, TN a couple of years ago. Culture shock! God is soooo good. There are more cows than people here in the valley. Awsome opportunities to get alone with God in His creation. I am sooooo looking forward to this study on prayer. This is a subject we all can learn from. Thanks for the opportunity to study God's word together. GOD IS BLESSING!!!
