  1. I think we can all see the danger of being flippant or too lax when it comes to God's instructions. We can see the danger of this when we look at other things Christians have treated in the same way - sex, marriage and family relations are some major areas where many of us have "lowered our standards" from the high calling of Christ. Over time, even communion may lose its importance if we do not adhere to Christ's instructions concerning it.
  2. Communion is God's call to us - a call for us to remember his sacrifice - that He gave His one and only Son so that we may have an eternal relationship with Him. It is also a call for us to remember our responsiblities as Christians - to show God's love and mercy to others, just as He has shown it to us. It is also a call for us to remember that we cannot do it on our own - just as bread and drink nourish our bodies, Christ nourishes our spirits.
  3. Hello everyone! I am excited to learn about communion. I have been a Christian for about 25 years, but have never studied communion to any real extent. I am excited to discover what God wants to show me in His word. I am looking forward to sharing ideas with others, and getting to know other brothers and sisters in Christ. Post your "intro" letter soon so our community will begin to flourish! Take care, Kate
