  1. vengeance -deliver punishment justice -to deal with a transgressor and meet out the consequences for their actions mercy - to act sparingly, with compassion significance of cross -Jesus
  2. Our duty is to protect the vulnerable and serve the needy.
  3. Isaiah is overwhelmed with feelings of unworthiness. He is afraid because his unworthy eyes have seen God. A purification rite. He is ready and eager to serve God.

  5. 7 Praise in joy, with song, worship in prayer, give thanks and be guided by Him. Be saved and live under his care.
  6. To determine how it will be used. We should put our plans, goals and decisions before God to determine His will for us. We should be filled with confidence and joy to do this.

  10. Q2. What do you think it is like to "inhabit eternity"? Perhaps a feeling of ultimate freedom. What will it be like when you inhabit eternity with the Eternal God, seated with Christ Jesus in heavenly places? What emotions does this inspire in you? I think I will feel amazing peace and safety, totally content and at home.
  11. We should approach life with a confident heart, knowing that God is fighting the battle and we wear His banner. The focus is not us, we are just carrying the message. The focus is God. We are not to presume God is on our side, but rather keep asking, am I on God
  12. It signalled clearly to all, that the God of the Israelites was in battle and his power was winning. The LORD is our banner in the battles we face in the same sense

  15. It was Joshua that was the servant of the LORD, not the other way around. We should be following our commander into battle, not determining our own path. Joshua felt humbled and blessed. Afterwards he would have felt close to God, reassured in his heart of what he must do, and honoured that God chose him to reveal himself.

  17. God is greatest, above all things and his expanse has known all things. His name is beautiful and perfect. My life needs to reflect his splendour and grace, conducting myself with dignity and serenity.
  18. The Most High is a descriptive title that sets our God as highest in majesty and power and the ultimate authority over all. I will use it to praise his name in my prayers and quiet thoughts.
  19. Abraham and Melchizedek both knew that the God Most High was with Abraham and used his power to enable the prisoners to be rescued. Praise God for your successes.
