we take the awesome sacrifice for granted

I can answer it best from the Song of Songs ... I am my Beloved's and my Beloved is mine.

It keeps me focused on Christ's sacrifice ... on His death .... on the terrible cost of our salvation. It shows me the glory of God's love and the horror of sin. after watching 'The Passion of the Christ' ... it has never been the same.

It can become just another thing to 'do' on Sunday morning. Sadly I see it every Sunday .... people gossipping and laughing during communion .... there is no sense of reverence or awe. They have lost sight of the terrible cost.

G'day For me it is the Lord's command .... it is a reminder ... it is His spiritual presence and a means of our becoming 'one' - becoming part of each other as Jesus outlined in John 13-17 .... we in Him, and He is us. So it also connects me with all other believers ... we are one in Christ. It is a mystery .... but it brings heaven very near. blessings dcl
