  1. In rememberance of Christ's death on the cross and looking forward to the fellowship of all the saints with Christ on the Last Day.
  2. I think it is unintentionally going against the word of our Lord. Either translated as figurative or literal it still is clearly an act and ordinance from the Lord.
  3. The partaking of the Eucharist is central in the episcopal church. It has been a great spiritual gift to me. I have looked at the arguments for literal and figurative and both have support for their views. Even though it seems to me to come down to what 'is' is and I think we can debate that until the Lord returns. To me, when I take the Bread and Cup of Christ, I feel that the Holy Spirit is present. I do not know how, in the prespective of Christ being physically in the elements or 'in,under, and within' or remembrance. I just feel in my experience that he is present. It is funny how most of my life I was in a denomination that did not even partake in the Lord's Supper and after lonely 10 years as an agnostic, at best. I found myself in a church that is completely opposite of the church I grew up in. God Bless David
