While I am doing this study on Ephesians, I am also doing a study on personal finances through Crow Financial Ministries. In week two of that study, we learn that God owns everything and everyone. If this is true, and it is, then God has the right to incorporate (or infuse) Himself into my whole being ( I love the illustration of the cake mix-it makes perfect sense). I must recognize the Lordship of Jesus Christ in my life and being a willing participant in the process of change--changing from the old corruptible nature to the new incorruptible man.

Another way to look at predestination is this: In His infinite wisdom, God knows who will accept His offer of grace and mercy, and who will not. But He still offers it to everyone. No one will be able to say they were never given a chance to accept or reject salvation. But those who accept Christ as Savior and Lord, are 'predestined' to be conformed to the image of Christ. It is a lifetime project. We may willingly accept it anf 'enjoy the ride' or fight it, but we will become like Christ.

Hello All, I live in Dallas, Texas, but was born in Washington DC and have lived in DC, Maryland and Virginia. Have a couple of years of Bible college, but learned the 'basics' of the Christian life through involvement with The Navigators. One thing I really love about the Christian life is that, no matter where I live, I will always find a local group of believers I can plug in to. Now, through the power of the Internet, that 'local group' has become worldwide. This is awesome! I first ran across Dr Wilson's Joyful Heart Ministry through his online business site. I have been trying to develop a business, mostly online for years. I believe this is what God wants me to do; but rather it is or not, simply by going through the process of trying to build a business, I have learned so much about His love for me (being currently unemployed and able to spend more time in my Quiet Time each morning helps too!). This is my first online Bible study and I hope will not be my last.
