I like that, Kathy....clothed by Him & covered by Him. I think about being inside a robe or something like that. /kbb What impacts me is that when I sin, I hurt a part of Him since I'm in Him. It's like if my tooth hurts, I'm keenly aware of it because it's in me. I see the same with Christ. It makes me more sensitive to how I conduct my affairs because I do not want to bring him pain. /kbb

To be holy means to be set aside or distinguised for a special purpose. E.g., I have certain pants that I only wear to mow the lawn. That's what makes them special. Although the pants have grass stains on them, I see them as being perfect for what they're designed to do. Likewise, for me to be holy means that God has put me aside for a special purpose. Moreover, He sees me as being blameless [through Christ] for what He's called me to do. Though everyone else can see my "grass stains," God sees me as being just what He needs to do His will. /kbb

Pickledilly, Your thoughts really helped me see how amazing it is that God has adopted me, and THAT I HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH IT! I spoke with some friends last night who have taken in a 13-yr old girl. They did it because they wanted to help her, not because she was deserving (she's actually really rough around the edges). God's love is really mindboggling. /kbb
