  1. The loving acceptance of God. I think of the word remember as re-member. It is a confirmation of my belonging to Him.
  2. What would happen to a real soldier on the battlefield if he kept forgetting he was in a battle and kept laying his gun and helmet down? Started crying because his feelings were hurt that the enemy didn't like him? If we had American soldiers like that - I'd be afraid to live in America.
  3. Amen, June. Wouldn't it be great if we could see the whole picture? I think, too, the more we love each other - the more we realize Christ's love for each one of us. There is a reason you are my sister - if we both have the same Father. No competition is needed in order to receive the Father's love. but this happens a lot in the body of Christ.
  4. I think we become weary sometimes when we lose sight of Him, and focus more on the task.
  5. I tried to reply to Lion of Grace - but it said I had reached my quota for positive feedback.or something to that effect I thought wish I always used my quota for positive feedback in my daily life! Not exactly the common problem for us believers... I like what Lion of Grace said - because Jesus said that by our love shall all men know that we have love one to another. So it must be one of the reasons why we start with each other. The world is looking for something that works - a real love - in the midst of real problems. We should be an oasis, not a desert.
  6. Sowing to the flesh is looks selfish. Sowing to the Spirit looks like unity. Sowing to the Spirit - prayer, reading the Bible, but not only reading it, obeying it.
  7. Q4. (5:21) Why do some Christians resist accepting Paul’s warning in 5:21 and 1 Corinthians 6:9-11? What statement might these Christians desire to substitute for Paul’s warning if they could reword the Scripture? Because they have chose to live for themselves and not for Christ. Perhaps they would add on to verse 11, unless you believe on Christ. Too bad they don't think more about what it means to believe on Christ - that He took our sins, so we should not be comfortable with them.
  8. Very thoughtful response, hanks - I think that pretty well categorizes them
  9. Amen, Solange! It is great to be able to study with people from all over the world. My answer to this question in Galatians:Q1. (Galatians 6:1-5) What does Paul mean, “caught in a sin”? When our sin is evident. What would restoration of a such brother or sister look like in his or her life? Restoration should include repentance, and also understanding we are in a spiritual war. Restoration should include Truth, love and acceptance from those who restore us. We are not restored if our brothers say only, "Well, we are all human' and pretend sin doesn't matter. Restoration should include a hatred for sin but an intense love for God and for each other. Who should restore this person? Someone that knows that they are only human but with God's power inside. We should come alongside of each other in our journeys to help each other take the next step. In what spirit should it be done? in meekness What is the result of trying to restore a person without humility? Falling into sin
  10. I think we grow weary because of human nature - and sometimes not reaping - but God's promise in Paul is that we will reap if we do not give up. That last one is a good question. The only good answer I have is because the Bible says, "Especially to those who are of the household of faith - do good when opportunity arises " (my paraphrase)
