To me, rebellion is thinking you know better than anyone what should happen. This includes God. It takes a long time to get used to denying yourself so that God may make your decisions for you. When you rebel against God, he uses circumstances to teach you to obey; some may be difficult or life-altering, some may just be simple. In the same way that we rely on the Holy Spirit to ‘empower’ us with the will of the Father, those who indulge in witchcraft rely on Unholy powers to drive them. Arrogance is rebellion in the act of thinking you know better than anyone what should happen and how. When we find rebellion in our hearts, we must pray and ask God’s wisdom to circumcise us, and lead us into His path. If we do nothing, we do not grow in the Lord, and we receive no blessings in our lives.
