(a) The illustration is that we were reconciled back into the family of God. John 3:16 says that God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son. So that we can have a relationship with God. ( Now this is encouraging to me; God now says to me that He has forgiven my sins and if I choose to live for Him I will become a joint heir with Jesus Christ in the kingdom of God. I don't have to worry about the troubles of this life here on earth because I have a higher calling in Christ Jesus.

(a)To me it means that I have the same attributes of Christ, passion and love for others and to live my life as He did while here on earth. I am now a co-heir with Christ.( I am no longer my own, but I now belong to God, yes God's Property!
