  1. 1-From Saul's perspective, why is David summoned to court? David is summoned to court because of the gift and skill of God in Him. The bible said in V.18, “David knows how to play the harp; he is a brave man and warrior. He speaks well and is a fine-looking man, and the Lord is with him” 2-From God's perspective, what seem to be the reasons for this service in Saul's court? In God’s perspective, David is being prepared to be in the national stage before He begins to lead. The effectiveness of his service is a persuasive tool that God is with him. 3-What things tend to prevent us from learning from God in the midst of the circumstances in which we find ourselves? We have tendency to put our program or plan above God’s. That leads us to execute our own agenda. Many times those things we’re concern about don’t have anything to do with the one we’re called for. 4-What might make us more teachable? Our experience in life proof that we’ll no long be satisfied unless we fellow and obey God’s commend.
  2. Samuel anointed David for the purpose to establish him as King over Israel. It demonstrated an official ceremony announce to the public a new leader. The significant of the Holy Spirit coming upon David is significant to carry on the whole plan of God and to fulfill the divine call of God upon prophecy. When you are led by God, definitively the result will be imminent and without doubt we will give glory to God. That said we need the same anointing in our live and carry successfully the plan of God in our life.
