We are promised wisdom to those who ask, in verse 5, and in verse 6 is the condtion attached to this promise... wich is that we have faith in God alone and do not "waver" or allow any doubt, because if we do we should not expect anything from God

trail test our faith in God and therefore, strengthen it. when we preservere we grow stronger, we are also promised to recieve the crown of life for eduring our trials and temptations. We can stand on this in faith because God is not a man that he should lie. When we become stronger we eliminate doubt wich is the thing that causes us to "waver" or "be doubleminded".

No god does not tempt us with evil, because God is not evil, It is our own evil desires that tempt us, and once given into they give birth to sin, and sin to death.

I have had many trials, when they hit I would pray... and stick close to God, still try to praise and thank him for all the good, to get my mind off the suffering. Because of this I have come more close to God in my spiritual walk with him. When I have used this technique, I have found thing actually end up better than before the trial began.
