  1. Anger is an appropriate response to sin because sin is a betrayal of trust that God places in man. Moreover, God directs his anger at the sin rather than the sinner for whom Jesus died. Emotional, uncontrolled anger is destructive and self-centered. Godly anger seeks to right a wrong and bring about reconciliation.
  2. John the Baptist's statement about the lamb of God refers to sacrifice because God modeled the ritual of sacrifice at the Passover and established the sacrificial system in the book of Leviticus. The comprehensiveness of the "sins of the world" was a radical concept because it applies to gentiles as well as Jews; pagans as well as believers; past, present and future sins; which challenged the exclusive, narrow mindset of the Jews of that day. 3. Hi! My name is Tony Mixer. This is my first opportunity to subscribe to an on-line Bible study. My family attends a non-denominational somewhat evangelical church in El Paso, Texas. We have no regular Bible study at our church, so I eagerly seek opportunities to learn more of the word of God. Thank you for offering me this opportunity. I want to learn more. God bless you all.
