Why does James make taming the tongue and caring for the poor the prime tests of pure religion? Why not the quality of our quiet time or worship? LIKE YOU SAID CARE FOR THE ORPHANS AND WIDOW SHOW LOVE WITHOUT EXPECTING GAIN. WE WATCH WHAT WE SAY AND SPEAK GOD'S WORDS OR DO NOT CONDEM THEN WE ARE PUTTING OUR OWN THOUGHTS UNDER CONTROL AGAIN IF WE ARE NOT DOING THE WORD THEN OUR QUIET TIME OR WORSHIP IS NOT PERFECTING US. WE SHOULD BE MOVED TO ACTION NOT INACTION.

Q3. What is this "perfect law" that James mentions? How would you define it? How does it relate to the "royal law" (2:8)? In what sense does it bring liberty? TO LOVE GOD ABOUT ALL TO LOVE OTHERS BEFORE OUR SELF IN REGARD TO THEIR NEEDS BEFORE OUR OWN IF WE LOVE OTHERS ABOVE OURSELVES THEN WE WILL NOT SIN AGAINST GOD OR THEM.

Why are we so easily fooled into thinking that listening to Bible teaching means that we are living out righteous lives? What is the nature of the self-deception? WE CAN BECOME IMPRESSED WITH OUR OWN KNOWLEDGE OF WHAT THE WORD SEZ. FAITH CALLS US TO STEP OUT OF OUR COMFORT ZONE. WE CHOSE TO FORGET THAT JESUS WANTS US TO BE A WITNESS FOR HIM AND THAT MAY INVOLVE ASSOCIATION WITH THOSE WE DON'T THINK WOULD BE INTERESTED. THAT IS NOT UP TO US. OUR LIVES SHOULD BE AN INVITATION TO THOSE WITHOUT CHRIST TO WANT TO HAVE WHAT HE HAS SO FREELY GIVEN US. THE MEN THAT GOD USED TO WRITE THE SCRIPTURES WERE NOT WORTHY ON THEIR OWN BUT ONLY AFTER BEING REFINED BY THE SPIRIT.

WE HAVE TO BUILD UP OUR SPIRIT MAN SO THAT IT WILL BECOME STRONGER THAN THE PHYSICAL MAN. THE MORE WE FEED IT THE STRONGER OUR DESIRE FOR THE WORD WILL BECOME. WE DECIDE WHICH WILL BE STRONGER BY WHICH WE FEED MORE. HOW CAN WE FIND OUT THE TRUTH WITHOUT SPENDING TIME WITH OUR DADDY. AT THE TIME OF OUR BIRTH BOTH PHYSICAL AND SPIRITUAL OUR WE ARE DEPENDENT UPON THE PARENT TO FEED AND HELP US GROW BUT AFTER A SET TIME IN MOST CASES WE LEARN TO TAKE MORE RESPONSIBILY FOR OURSELVES. THE FOOD IS THERE BUT WE HAVE TO LEARN TO FEED OURSELVES AND WHAT WE EAT DETREMINES WHAT GROWS STRONG.

We should ask for wisdon with faith. The wisdon is that God knows what is best for us and to trust him. Wait upon the Lord. Our quick fixes to problems are not always to God's glory. Our trials increase faith when we see how awesome his answers are.

I ask everyday for HIS help in laying me down and raising HIM up. I only wish for Jesus to be seen in me. If there is any good in me it is HIM alone. I have proved many time over that I can't do anything good without him. HE has blessed me to the point that I can only cry with love and thankfulness because I do not deserve any of it on my own

Our actions lead us to sin not GOD. When we step from his word and look at the world for to long. I get a physical reaction to much I see and hear now. I have to be fed everyday with his food to keep going

We have to reprogram our heart and mind with GOD's thoughts and words. Taste the words before we say them.

We should not recongize any sin as right but encourage the sinner to repent and lead them to Jesus. BUT we should not be caught up in their ways. Pride of any kind is wrong and GOD will show it up. Remove the stick from your own eye 1st.

Yes many times in my life I have not stayed in the Word and been drawn away BUT my LORD has always been there waiting when I turn back to him. The biggest trials have produced the strongest faith in HIM. My love and desire to know HIM more grows each day. HE is beyond words.
