I guess that was God's way of getting people used to the idea of sacrifices so that when Jesus came along, they (or we) would accept Him more readily.

We are repulsed by sacrifices of animals because we are not used to doing that sort of thing. We go to the market, buy our meat and the butcher does all the hard work for us! I am a city girl originally from L.A. and now I live in the greater Seattle area. I guess we have been spoiled through the years.

Hi everyone, my name is Bridget and I'm from the Seattle area. I currently attend a non-denominational church. This will be my first on-line Bible study. I am looking forward to this study as I just can't seem to get enough of God's Word lately.
