  1. They were in hiding and scared, But the brave women stood strong and preached the Gospel, something which was not aloud. I say they were all pretty much shaken up and in no position to even think straight.
  2. I dont see where any would have any type of motive to steal his body. By doing so they would confirm his teachings and the Jews did not want that. Romans would have no reason because some did not know of his teachings and others did not believe.Joseph did as we would today and claimed that spot so why would he want to move it especially with 2 guards placed right outside his door.
  3. I am not as well scripted as most ppl who answer these boards but please let me say this. The only way most people not just liberal christians and scholars can not believe in the resurection is faith. The world we live in now pushes fact on us. My 12 yr old daughter is in public schools being taught that if you can not reproduce it then it is not true. My daughter thank God has held on to her beliefs. I taught her that just because you dont see it or that there is no physical proof of it then it does not mean it is not true, But if you have faith and pray for guidance then truth will be known to you. God and His Son are the knowledge that we as christians should be seeking and it says a few times in the bible tjhat HE IS THE WORD.
  4. Jesus resurection was his victory over death, he rose again after being crucified and walked among us again. His asscension was the his return home to the right hand of our Father in heaven. They fit together because without the 2 things the prophecy could not be completed and our sins would not have been forgiven. Jesus rose again and went to Heaven as we all will in time.
  5. Jesus body was the same as it had been beofre he died, no diff from our own, but by beating death he kept his physical body as well as parts of the body that are able to do things beyond our capabilities. He was able to appear through locked doors, and change his appearence
  6. It seems that both witnesses seen the position of the clothes as if they were not removed or disturbed in any way but the headpiece being neatley folded.By seeing this they knew noone had entered the tomb and that Jesus had risen.
  7. There are several similarities such as, Mary was always present, Peter was always there, The angel or angels said He is risen, and told do not be afraid, But the biggest from what I see is that the love of our Lord was always present. His love was felt and never lost as well as that love for him.
  8. I have notcied the differences in 1. the women, Matthew, and Mark mentions both Marys. Luke mentions both Marys as well as other women and john only mentions 1 Mary. The number of Angels present differs from 1 to 2. Each writer gives more detail then the other. When I look at the differences between the witnessses I look at as if a person would an auto accident. The person or persons involved as well as the witnesses will tell the same story but in a different way, some with more details some with less and some might see it from a different point of view, but the end result is the same. The credibility is the fact that each person has exactly the same story to tell, even with the differences the similarities outway it. They each have the same message. Jesus never changes in the accounts. His love and compassion is still evident.
  9. When Jesus said I am the reaurection what he was aying is that he does not have the power of resurection he is it. Jesus defeated death and through his death and resurection we have life. When we accept his death and resurection as a real thing into our lives then we as children of God shall never die. That does not mean we will not get old and our bodies here on earth will live forever. It means that just as Jesus resurected he will come again and resurect us.
  10. I believe they paid attention to his prediction out of fear that they would be wrong and his followers all though I think they belived him thought that he was again speaking in parables
  11. That question should not be hard to answer but I have been sitting here trying to figure out how to answer it and here it is. I believe that when I asked the Lord to save me I died and then rose again a child of God. I also believe when the time comes he will call our dead as he did lazurus. I believe that when he said he is the resurection he says you can not live your earthly life or eternal life without him in your life.
  12. The bible clearly states the rightous will rise and live eternity with the lord, but as the question states from someone earlier.. what makes a person rightous? are you rightous just because you are saved? what is determined?
  13. Jobs vision of resurection involved a much more loving understanding in he would live again in a life of love with God, while the jews saw death as a deep dark place the end of the rope.
  14. Hello everyone I am so happy GOD has led me to this study and the chance to meet new people. I have 2 children and I live in Florida. My faith is new and I am excited to grow. Thank you and GOD bless.
