  1. I find this question most interesting and how it relates to a current situation that is taking place in the County I live in. We have a local church that has been very outspoken and strongly opposed to the building of an Islamic Mosque in the same township that they recently built their new church. The Senior Pastor states that those people don't worship the same God as we worship. Unless something has changed Jews, Christians and Muslims all worship the same God just in different methods. This attitude goes against every aspect of the message that Jesus was addressing in this question.
  2. There are many cases stated in the old testament of God's chosen people not abiding by his laws and rules. In many cases they thought that they knew much better then listening to God what was best for them and disregarded the charge that he had given them. When Jesus speaks on the Sermon on the Mount he once again provides a list of ways that the true and faithful followers of God should live their lives and if they do follow each of these blessings what they can expect to receive in return.
  3. Hello my name is Jeff from Ohio in the USA. I am looking forward to this Bible Study. The Sermon on the Mount is my area of study as I work towards completion of my Masters Degree in Biblical Studies.
  4. This is a very good response. A very matter of fact, simple to understand statement. I have never viewed the point of taking the Lord as our savior, as dying and rising once again as a child of God.
  5. Those that are determined to be righteous by our Lord, their souls will forever live in eternity with him in heaven.
  6. Even though Job views that his physical body will forever been buried in the earth, his spirital soul will rise up again and he will see God with his own eyes in the new body that God has given him. Progressive Revelation: God through his prophets reveals that the body/soul does rise again. In the beginning the Jews had a firm belief that once you were dead that you were placed in the everylasting darkness of death/sheol. But in Job he begins to reveal the truth and that there is life after death.
