  1. Today people are repulsed with animals partly due to the entertainment world which has raise animals to the same level as humans. such as or Little Bear are examples of this, where animals take on human personalities and emotions. Secondly, people who live in cities tend to be more removed from the process of and preparing animal meat for sale. City folk don't see value of livestock in the same way. A farmer sees the animals as a commodity that is to be raised and taken care of to the point where it is ready to be sold to the stockyards for slaughter. Dogs and cats are used as a tool where they protect the farm from any unwanted visitors. On most farms that I have been on these animals don't even come in the house at night during the winter, but rather they are provided with their own quarters in the barn or shed.
  2. It is okay to be angry, only when the anger is focused on the sin that caused the mistrust or event. Paul even said to be angry but not to let that anger turn into wrath. When the power that anger produces is used to take vengence than it becomes sin on the angry person's part. But when the anger is used to take proactive action to prevent the hurt being repeated than this is righteous anger. We as Christians are to be God's tool in bringing about justice in this world, and not adding injustice to that which already exists.
  3. When John point out Jesus to the crowd that surrounded him, he indicated that Jesus was a Lamb that would take away the world's sin. The Jewish people of that time would have related this to their current old testament instructions in sacrificing the lambs to have their sin forgivien. Lambs or doves/pigoens were sacrificed ritually in order to cleanse the people of their sin in God's sight. The "sins of the world" was radical because it included everyone. This sacrifice would not be just for Isreal but also for the gentiles. Everyone would get the opportunity to receive this offer of God to be cleansed of their sin once and for all.
  4. Hi my name is Jim and this is the first time in doing an online bible study. I look forward to starting this journey and where God will take us. I am from Winnipeg, Canada. Currently the tempature here is -30 degrees celcuis or -43 degrees celcuis with the wind chill. So I have sometime to spend on doing this study. I attend a full gospel denomintion that uses Vineyard worship and uses Bill Hybel's church model. God Bless all.
