  1. It is a privilege to suffer for our faith, something that Paul and the apostles had many opportunities to do. Paul was unafraid, he faced his hardship stoically, and continued to serve the Lord as best he could, whenever he could. People respected the fact that he was willing to lie down his life for his Lord. He became a powerful witness to Christ and his teachings in the gospel. I have recently come back to the church after almost twenty years. If I could find a way to share the joy and the purpose that I now feel in my life again I to could become a powerful witness for the Lord.Everyone should experience the joy and peace that I have found again with the Lord.
  2. The greek noun doulos translates as one who is totally commited to another, a slave that is commited to his master for life. The root idea for saint comes from the greek adjective hogios : being dedicated or consecrated to the service of God. Paul is refering to himself as a slave to Gods will. He lives to fulfill Gods purpose for his life. As a saint using the greek translation of the word you are also dedication your life to the Lord.
