  2. Christ was the only perfect one so He was the only one notable to open the scrolls. Christ paid the ultimate price for us with His spilled blood and His body so we'll to be with Him.
  3. I enjoyed reading the answers and i agree with all of you. Praise the Lord!
  4. The Holy Spirit is in charge and that is why Gideon blew the horn. The Holy Spirit was in his life and in the lives of others.
  5. A snare is a trap. Gideon once tore down an idol that his father was worshipping and now he was falling into the same trap. We are all exceptable to fall into a snare when we take our eyes off Jesus.
  6. I believe when God wants us to do something he has already given us a direction to follow and its up to us to continue on. asking for a sign maybe something we really don't want.
  7. The Lord as supreme commander of Israel reduced the army so that Israel would know that the victory was by his power and not by theirs.
  8. the lappers were always aware of their surrounding in case of an emergency.
  9. The barley loaf was nothing other than the sword of Gideon and to give assurance to Gideon that God was with him.
  10. Joash was aback and forth kind of leader between God and Baal. Gideon did what he thought was the best solution to show his father who he should be worshipping. We as sinners have done something we aren't to proud of doing. But our God is a forgiving God.
  11. The Lord's Supper is the time of sharing of Christ's great sacrifice for our sins. We shouldn't partake of communion if we hold something against someone. We should take care of the problem before partaking. It takes a big person to go and ask for forgiveness.
  12. Jesus was our sin sacrifice for we were not able to do what he could.
  13. Jesus knew we were not worthy to be a sin atonement and he was the only perfect sin atonement
  14. according to the slave ransom analogy who is the slave? Us what is he enslaved by? Sin Who offers ransom? Christ Jesus to whom is the ransom offered? all sinners if satan is involved in the enslaving process, why isn't the ransom paid to him? Christ Jesus paid the price by giving his life and shedding his blood on the cross. silver and gold are precious metals here on earth but are useless for eternal life with our Lord in heaven. greed is satan's weapon and material things are not important to our Lord.
  15. I agree with David on Jesus mission in Matthew 20:28, Jesus gave his life to pay the ransom for our sins. I'm convinced.
  16. now a days we are not required to have animal sacrifice, for Jesus died on the cross for us and He was our sacrifice for atonement of our sins. I dont believe we could find a perfect unblemished sacrifice for all of cross breeding of livestock. I work on a farm and our cattle are raised to sell and we use some for our own meat. God gave us animals for food.
  17. some say that anger is healthty if you dont cause harm to someone. anger is a way of venting frustration. but it does say in the bible that we should never let anger be in control at sundown.
  18. Lamb of God. An expression found in the Bible only here and in verse 36. The expression seems to be a general reference to sacrifice, not the name for a particular offering. John was saying that Jesus would be the sacrifice that would atone for the sin of the world.
