  1. I tend to stand next to Thomas on this issue. He would probally tell us what Jesus told him ... "Blessed are they that believe and don't see..." Paul exhorts us as he exhorted the Romans that nature itself proves the existence of God. For those who do not believe Holy Scripture ( A TRUE SIGN AND A MIRACLE!) that the Father is revealed through His Son, then they are "without excuse". Our lives are the receptical of the love of Christ to a dying world. The sign and miracle is the fact that Jesus can regenerate unregenerate people through His mercy and grace.
  2. I think Scripture is clear about our tendencies to revert back to our so-called "Traditions." May we never allow any policy of the Church to take precedence over "The Word of God." As the writer of Hebrews encouraged his readers to "pay much closer attention to what we have heard," so we must stay close to the heart of God by meditating on His Word day and night. Our Lord Jesus best illustrates this "drifting away" as a consequence of falling on non-fertile ground. Our best efforts mean nothing unless we personally..."hear the word and understand(s) it." Consequently, our root system will be deep. Then and only then will we bear fruit and multiply our lives and efforts.
  3. Just the phrase, "Through whom he made the universe," indicates divinity. We also know from the passage that Jesus is the exact representation of God's being. How exciting it is to know the divine Father through His divine Son!!
  4. Strong's indicates, "a new and unique category of revelation in contrast to that of the prophets in that their testimony was preparation for the coming of Christ." This spiritual kinship goes beyond anything that we can fathom here on earth. However, we as believers and servants of the Most High can now share the relationship that Jesus has with His Father!!
  5. Just came on board!! Looking for the Holy Spirit to give me the same sense of urgency that the writer of Hebrews exhibits in the Letter. My prayer is for obedience to the truth and that this obedience will be a light to the world of the love of our Father through His Son by His Holy Spirit.
