  1. Q3. (1Thessalonians 3:3-5) In what ways does persecution discourage christians from active, open service? In what ways does it mature them? In what ways does it reveals our underlying motives? Why do you think God alolows the tempter the ability to tempt us? Why hasn't he done away with Satan already? It discourage them sometimes because they dont want to hear what has to be said or they just dont want no one to know what is really going on in their lives. However it can mature them in ways that they will do better. Some even understand their wrong while others want except their wrong. It really shows us ourselves. I feel God allows this to happen so that we will know right from wrong. The reason God has not gotten away with the devil because the things he uses against us helps to grow. It helps us to call on God even the more, however if we never have circustanes we probably would not call on God or change.
  2. Churches sometimes despise prophecy because of what can be reveal that is not of God. The guidelines that Paul speaks about 1. prophecy decent and in order. 2. most tongues in interpeted. 3. If prophecy is done in evil stay away from it.

  6. 1. What happens to people who seek revenege on those who hurt them? They become like that person. They become evil and unforgiven. 2. What happens when they neglect to forgive those who have wronged them? Then there hatered become like cancer eating away at their soul. They become bitter and angry. 3. What happen in a congregation that has an unlovring superior attitude toward outsiders? It began to fall apart. 4. How do these attitudes reflect on Christ? It reflect on christ because it sorrows his heart to see his children showing no love. 5. How can people or congregations get healthy after have been vengeful proud, or unforgiving? By praying and reading their word to show forgiveness from God. They can repent and forgive themselves so that others can forgive them.

Things in Gods house began to get out of order and the enemy moves in and take over. 2. What happens when the disrespectful spread their disrespectful? Then the enemy takes over and people began to do and say what they want. Love for God and their fellowman does not exist anymore. 3. Will getting rid of the leader fix the problem, or is there something deeper going on here? It could go both ways, but most of the time the thing that is happening is always the devil have came in and took over the people. Getting rid of the leader is not always the answer, but prayer is.

First of all we should be ready for him to come, however we should rejoice because he said that every eye shall see him. That is his promise to take us back with him. We should be looking forward for his coming to carry his children home like he said he would. 2. What does it mean to be sober or selfcontrol? It means for us to know and be aware of his coming and have maintain the flesh. God does not want us to be sleep when he comes but be alert and watchful for his coming. 3. What does it mean to be alert and watchful? Be careful for nothing. Dont let anthing or anyone cause you to lose out on Gods coming. We have to be watchful, because he said in his word that he will come like a thief in the night. 4. How does this differ from our normal christian lifestyle? it really isnt too much different, cause we still needs to be ready and alert, and watchful for his coming.

The warning is that he is coming like a thief in the night and every eye shall see him. To come like a thief means without warning
  10. Q2(thessalonians 4:14) How will Christ bring with him those believers who have a previously died? ans-He will bring them through the resurrition. They that are dead in christ will be risen. According to matthew 25:31, who will accompany christ when he returns? ans-Those that are dead in Christ. And only the righteous shall see god.

You dont have anyone to lean on. My spiritual life for my family is very much needed. We are placed here to show our family that Gods love is real. Our spirtuial plays a very special part with the family because they can see the work of God.
  14. Q1 What is the differeent between 1. conducting our lives by rules. 2. conducting our live trying to please our God? Which is stronger? Rule Keeping or Love? On whose authority does Paul bring these commands? Ans-We all have rules that we have to follow. We have to obey the rules of the land, It is rules that are forced by man. How ever our lives is important to please god. The rules for god is chastism. Love is more stronger because if you love for real then you will obey gods rules. Paul bring these authority by god.

In what sense are we holy now?By allowing God to come in and save us. by allowing him to deliver us from things that hinder our life with him. 3. In what sense are we in the process of becoming holy and what does holinesss have to do with our sexuality? We are being made everyday into a new creature. We are being taught how to live there holy and learning right and wrong. Holiness have a lot to do with living holy. God can not dwell in an unclean vessel. He wants us to be an example for others.

Alot of people are out of controll, because they have took their minds off of God. The flesh is something you have to stay in prayer for. Because we can not put our flesh under subjection by ourselfves and without having the change of mind to go alone with it. 2.Why is it important to control ourselves sexuality within marriage? When sexuality does not have any boundaries then the flesh gets out of control and we are no longer thinking like God, but like the world. When we let our flesh act up then we no longer control our marriage, children, our spirits or our body. The flesh has taken over and we are no longer married to God. We began to seperate from our children and our marriages began to have problems or we divorce. Our spirit man began to take a back seat when sin enters the body. The body gets sick and sometimes we die.

Paul spoke the words that men should be as he was but if they could not then they should marry. 2.Are these punishments more severe than for other sins? Ans-To me sin is sin. All sin is the same. It might sound different but it is not. There is no big sin or little sin. The only way to get into the kingdom is to live righteous. 3. What effect should these warnings have on christians? Ans-It should make us live right and want to be more like God everyday.

What is God calling you to do that will require courage on your part? ans-It is important because it helps us to understand and not mislead Gods word. Lack of courage prevents it because of fearr. We can not help anyone if we have fear . We need to be willing to do work for God. Not be afraid of what others say or fight against us. A lack of courage have a strong way with a congregation. If the teaching is not where they understand it then they want get the healthy word of God. To preach his word takes a lot of courage.

What are the implications for disciples of this powerful actions of the word? Ans-It disciplines us and puts us on the right track with God. The power that it have is teaching us to live according to Gods word and his purpose. It operates through the holy spirit. We need know that we believe what our father has told us and that we come to an agreement of his word with faith.

Why is the holy spirits working so necessary to effective ministry? ans-Because God want to see his people really know him and what he is about. 2. what happens when the main power behind our ministry is will-power? ans- Then you will began to see the work of God come in to play. 3. what is the role of miracless in Pauls evangelism? What would happen if we saw miracles in evangelism in our day? What is hindering this? ans-For the gospel to be spreaded to the gentiles. We do see it, however some of us dont believe still. Those that see it, it has changed their lives. The only thing that is hindering us is us.
  24. Act 17:1-10 why do you think there was so much strong opposition to Pauls ministry in Thessalonica? Why do you think Paul keeps preaching the gospel, eventhough there is often a violent reaction against him? does a violent reaction to our ministry necessarily mean we should stop? Because Paul was a killer of christians when he was called saul, but now he is teaching that there is another king, and the jews did not like that, because Cesesar was there king. Paul kept preaching, because it was his purpose throught Jeuse Christ that the gospel be spreaded throughout the nation. A violent reaction should not deter us from doing what God has told us to do. When we are on a journey for God, We have to remember that God has us covered by his blood.
