  1. Q3. (1:5-8) How do trials help cure us of "doublemindedness"? How do trials help us grow in faith? Trials cure us of doublemindedness by bring us to that place of realizing we are helpless over our sins(that war within)and that we need Father God, through his son Jesus so that we come to the place of repentance and can see the hold of those sins broken and see his victory be glorified. Trials help us grown in faith by helping us make "new commitments" and "new directions" new life in him:)
  2. Q2. (1:13-15) Why do people blame God for evil? Does God tempt us with evil? Does he tempt sinful people with evil? Why does he allow people to sin? Why does he allow evil to exist at all? People blame God for evil because they are deceived of the truth by being temped of OUR own sinful desires. James 1: 13-15 When tempted, no one should say, "God is tempting me." For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone; but each one is tempted when, by his own evil desire, he is dragged away and enticed. Then, after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death. The truth is God doesn't temp anyone with evil because God is good, period! James 1: 16-18 Don't be deceived, my dear brothers. Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows. He chose to give us birth through the word of truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of all he created. I remember a time in my life where I had questioned that for myself. Why did God allow me to sin (even though I knew better) and what Ive learned is that when I realized what I had done, hurt him as well as those around me. He showed me a deeper depth of his unconditional love, grace, and mercy. To experance these Godly traits in a personal way goes to the depths of my heart. James 1:18 He chose to give us birth through the word of truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of all he created. Through the evils of this world, we can truly experience joy, steadfastness, and endurance even in the trials, and temptitations we face everyday. Its in those trials we when yielded to God learn of his word and experience it. His word of truth becomes our way of life.
  3. Q1. (1:2-4) What value have trials had in your life? Have you let Satan destroy you with those trials? Or allowed God to refine you? How have you changed? The value that trials have had in my life are many but the main one Im learning is paticence. We live in such a fast pace world that paticence is truely a verture. Gods timming is perfect, and we can experience his peace even in the middle of our life storms(trials) but only by the help of the Lord. I have fallen short of Gods glory in some trials and many times Ive experienced Gods glory and have seen his mighty hand in my life personally as well as my family, and friends.(The thing Ive learned is to keep my focus on the Lord and know who he is(through Bible reading, and prayer) Our one-on-one communication with the Lord which includes being still and quiet at times is vital. Also, James 1:5-6 If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him. But when he asks, he must believe and not doubt, because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. I believe God wants us to ask for his wisdom and totally trust him and to not be wavered by our personal storms (trials of life). I Praise The Lord because Im not the same person I use to be (non of which was good) I'm paticent not because of me but because of what God has worked in me through my trials and choosing to yeild to his will. Im able to share paticence, steadfastness and endurance with those God places in my path just like has and continuelly does for me:)
