  1. Conforming to the world is being carnal or worldly. Pilgrims progress featured Worldly Wiseman as an example of this. Many things can get you off track. Money, tv, and sports are three example of the things that can occupy your time and move your focus away from God and onto things of the world. It's so easy to become distracted by things such as this and to lose your way
  2. We are all prone to being caught up in the things of this world and being distracted by Satan from living the life that God intended us to live. We must not only read and understand the Word but apply it daily to our lives. In the Parable of the Sower, "drift" is anything but the good ground case. Rocks, thorns, or by the wayside, either way there was "drift". People heard but for one reason or another didn't respond to it. Hearing and understanding something is all well and good, but a life changing message is pointless if it is not applied to make that change.
  3. The Son and the Father are one. The Son created the universe and sustains life through His word. The Son has the power and authority of the Father and sits at His right hand. Since they are one, the will of the Father and the Son would be the same.
  4. I think that this is a biological son. This is something that we could grasp in our finite minds but there is more to the story than just that. I think that God wanted to come to earth as a true, physical human being. He went through the process of birth, life and a horrible death for our sins. He lived among us a man and experienced what we do. We need to become like Christ and experience things the way He does. As a Son of God, he has the power and authority of His father. A prophet is merely a messenger, not a flesh and blood close relative.
