  1. Q1. Revelation is written to encourage and strengthen a church facing intense persecution. Why is the theme of testimony and witness so important to that purpose? How is Jesus as the "faithful witness" (1:5) supposed to encourage us? Why are we afraid to be clear witnesses in a culture where we aren't persecuted? When it comes to testimony or witnessing that is what we are to do. By doing that it leads others that might not know God and Jesus to them. I know as a follower it give me great and humble joy to hear others testimonies and also it is through our testimonies that tells us not only more about the person but what God has done for a person. When it comes to encouragement that is what we got from Jesus. He witnessed and testified even when he was facing persecution and opposition too. There are times that when we come up against persecution or opposition we get affraid to share with others what God has done for us. We go through all kinds of storms and trials and the best thing about going through those storms and trials it that no matter what we come up against, God and Jesus is right there with us and walking through them with us too. The reason that we become affraid is so many people don't want to believe us and dont want to face reality. That is the reason that we become affraid, we want others to have the same joy and peace that we all have.

  3. Q3. (Psalm 34:1-3) Why should we praise God continually? What are barriers to continual praise? What does continual praise do to our spirit? How are you training yourself to praise continually? God is worthy to be praised at all times! Some of the things that I feel that block or stop us from continually to praise him are the worldly flesh attacks or tries to attack us all the time...satan will sit back and laugh and carry on and say mean things such as you dont need to praise Him cuz he wont listen to you or He wont hear you...continually praise Him gives us a humble and joyful spirit and when the enemy tries to attack us look him in the eye and tell himto get behind yu and go back to the pit where you belong satan cuz i want to praise God only not you and that he (satan) is not worthy to be praised what so ever! i have been working on training myself just by telling Him no matter where i am at to give him thanks or just praiseing him...another way i been working on praising him is by listening to chrisitan music...i also use a prayer shawl when i praise him too.
  4. 1.) David desires to dwell in the house of the Lord where he can find peace, tranquility, and he can open his mind and heart up to God. It si David's desire to be in the presences of God. This was the most safest place for him to be and that he wants to be there all the days of his life. 2.) To seek His face means to hunger for the Lord's presence. We loong for His holiness and closeness. To live by what God wants for us to live by--His Standards not our own. 3.) Davids hope--To stand strong in our faith and give our all in all to God. Keep praying and God will come through for us.
  5. The psalmist was in awe about the creation and just knowing that God is in control of everything from the beginning of creation all the way through life clear up to the end. Just to know that God knew us before we was even born is so wonderful. Just knowing that God acccepts us just the way we are, and society protrays differently but it dont matter what others think cuz through the psalms and through God's word the only one that i have to think about is the beauty and marel at the fact that God accepts me just as I am. David asked God to point out sin and he wanted GOd to put him through tests. He basically was asking God to help guide him through all that he goes through. The tests that David was asking for are the challenges in life and how through God we can over come them due to the fact that God gives each of us the power to get through them all. He was asking God to give him a pure heart.
  6. The common thread is God's word. In the first six verses it tells us all about the wonders of God. The next verses tells us the instructions from God. To bask means that he delights in the warmth of God's word. Yes I have felt this way. As long as I stay under God's leadership things go smoothly. David is ablt to turn to God's word and meditate on it. He gets excited about being in God's word too. David is asking God to guide him constantly so that he will be in total obedience and will continue to obey God.
  7. Psalms 8 teaches us that God is awesome and that He made everything perfect just the way that He wanted to. When He created everything it is to our wonder and way beyond our understanding how He could do such a thing. There may have been a time in our lives that we might have been abused as children from the ones that God put as authority over us but no matter what happened that we can marvel to the fact that through God we can get through all the pain and suffering that we might have gone through. I tells me that we are very sensitive people due to all that we went through when we was growing up. But no matter what we still have to give God all the praise for what He has done for us still. No matter what the circumstances are that Jesus is there for us and what we go through in life that he will still be there with us through all that we go through. It dont matter what others think of us as long as we keep our eyes on Jesus and not vere from Him that He will continue to go through all that we have to endure in life with us. No matter what we still have to give praise with our lips. We have to continue in life knowing that God has given us all that we have and that we have to take care of what we have and that we cant be selfish either. We have to continue to love God and others too, that we have to no matter what the circumstances is that we have to continue to praise Him. As the song title reads by Casting Crowns...I Will Praise You In This Storm.
