Thanks for the good study and clear questions! I believe Jesus took the time to meditate over his mission and the word of God (I believe he read the word in the synagogues). And from that, listening to what God wanted him to focus on during the day. The disciples wanted to "assist" the people in what they wanted most (healing) but Jesus seemed more focused on preaching the word to lost people. When I am caught up by the world and lose focus on listening and doing the will of God, I tend to run after other people's requests, and hence lack peace. I believe it is possible to, if you are close to God in the word and prayer, in your heart and mind know what you should focus on. I want that focus.
