RE: Hebrews 6:4-6: The reason it is impossible for these particular "Christians" to repent is simply because they do not see a need to repent! They believe they are "once, saved, always saved" and have fallen away from the truth of God's Word that says Jesus only saves those who OBEY Him (Heb 5:9) and they conveniently ignore the many, many other verses in both Old and New Testaments that warn believers to obey God and not fall away from His statues. These apostates base their "gospel" on the teachings of men such as Calvin, Luther, and many modern day off-shoots of these same false teachers, rather than relying on God's Word alone. A little leaven leavens the WHOLE lump! IN a nutshell: They cannot repent because like the Pharisees and Saducees of Jesus' day, they think THEY are RIGHT and anyone who points out the truth of God's Word is offensive to them. They don't realize that by doing this, they are denying Jesus as coming in the flesh! (1 Jn 4:6). The Father came through Jesus and the religious phonies denied it was Him. Jesus comes through those who follow Him and the religious apostates deny it is Him! History always repeats itself. You can't "repent" if you are wise in your own eyes!
