  1. To me, this verse says He gives us: rest, peace, forgiveness, guidance, security, comfort, blessings, assurance and most of all love.
  2. I think we need to be reminded because sometimes it is easier to follow the ways of the world. Also, people get tiredof trying to do good when it SEEMS that the wicked prosper must faster. Verse 6, because it is a reminder that the Lord watches over His own and that although the wicked seem to prosper their ways lead to distruction.
  3. I think that if you recognize and accept that God loves you, then it is easier to have faith. If God loves you, you can believe: that He wants what is best for you, that He will protect you and provide for you, that He would send His son to die for you, that He wants a relationship with you, and the list goes on. Change, when we truely realize that God Almighty loves, truely loves us it has a powerful impact. Personally, I struggled most of my life with this. I knew God loved me but I couldn't really accept it. Why would a Holy God love someone like me! As God has showed me repeatedly His love, I began to recognize His love in everything and accept His love, it began to change me starting with the purpose of life itself.
  4. He feels forgotten, depressed, down trodden, outcast, he longs to feel God's presence. By remembering better times, remembering when he had felt God's presence, praising God for what he knows instead of what he is feeling. Yes, I have felt spiritually depressed several times. It use to drag on for quite awhile, I think mainly because I would start feeling sorry for myself and would find it hard to pray, it was like I was triing to avoid God. I am learning that during these times usually the best thing I can so is find a secluded place and spent more time talking and praying and worshiping Him and as I have been taught "count your many blessing see what God has done" until such time as it passes.
  5. He wants to please God, spend time with Him, devote his life to Him. He desires to draw close enough to God to be able to talk to Him and know Him, like He would a some one who is physically present. He is saying that even with everything he has went through no matter what it was, the Lord was always faithful. So no matter what your circumstance is Just wait on the Lord, He is always true.
  6. In what way does the wonder of creation in the psalm seem to affect the psalmist? I believe it is the vastness of nature and yet it is nothing compared to God's thoughts, love and plans for man. All of nature is so vast yet God focuses on us, knowing every detail about us from way before we were created, down to every thought that passes through our minds. It is an awesome realization that He knows all, He is always present, He loves us regardless of all and by His grace forgives all. To search out all his deepest faults or the things that keep him from living a life pleasing to God, help him to change his ways that he may live a life that will bring glory to God.
  7. Just as nothing can hide from the radiance, glory and heat of the sun, nothing or no one can hide (or is not seen or touched by) from the glory of the Lord, His statutes, His law, His precepts, His commands, His ultimate love, grace and blessings. He points out the goodness and the perfection of the Word and praises God for all the ways that it serves, guides, and directs the path of the follower. I often feel closer to God when I am out in nature and can spend time in awe of His beautiful handiwork but my Bible is a special treasure, when I read the scriptures it is (most times) as if I can't get enough like I am starved for all it has to offer. As he wonders about the best things of nature, he begins to compare those feelings to the way God's Word compares and the feelings it brings about. I believe he is asking God to change him in thought as well as deed so that he can live a life that will be pleasing to God in every way.
  8. To me, it says that He is Holy, He inspires awe, He is greater than we can imagine. He is the creator of all things yet He loves and favors man above all His creations. That we are special in God's eyes, we are favored by Him and His strength is magnified through our weakness. That God place man over all His works which means man has a responsibility to God to do what he can to take care of these things.
