  1. (Psalm 139). In what way does the wonder of creation in the psalm seem to affect the psalmist? In his concluding prayer in verses 23-24, what does he ask God to do? Those last two verses need to be the cry of my heart as well. I am continually asking God to point out any area of my life that is not in line with Him and replace it. His goal is to make me like Himself, and I can hardly wait!
  2. What does this psalm teach about God? What does it teach about human beings? What does it teach us about Christ? What does it teach about our responsibilities? These two questions helped me to look at this psalm in a different way. I've read it before and seen God's majesty and power and my own insignificance, but not seen how Christ's sacrifice on the cross is related both to His power and my weakness. In His power he could see what had to be done to give me strength. And His love for me caused Him to do it for me knowing that I had not the strength by myself. And my responsibility? I had never thought about that aspect of this psalm either. If we are given dominion over the earth, then we better do it right. I think this comes toward the end of the contrast of God's power and our weakness so that we can remember how much we need Him in order to fulfill our responsibility effectively.
  3. Hello, My name is Amber. I'm in nursing school in Texas and seem to never be available during the Bible studies at my church. So I thought that doing one online would be a good idea. I'm looking forward to studying the Psalms and hoping to draw closer to God through this study.
