  1. In the GK. "form" is a word for a mold. God pours us (His children) into the mold of divine truth. we have compelling desire to obey God's word. this good doctrine freed us from sin, we became slaves to righteousness. We should honor the good doctrine, this doctrine or teaching is about our Lord Jesus. this teaching of Christianity is given to us. we must respond to it with obedience. Those teaching which is contrary to God's word.
  2. What does obedience have to do with slavery?[/color] In our world if you are employed to someone he is your boss or master, what ever he says or order we obey. so obedience have to do with slavery because whoever you serve is your master, if you follow the way of the flesh and live as one who is godless then sin will be your master. In what way does doing acts of righteousness demonstrate your slavery to God? By presenting my body to Him to be use as instrument of doing righteousness (6:13b). by doing the perfect will of God. by living according to the Spirit. In what ways does doing bad things demonstrate a slavery to sin? Paul said that we are not free to live in sin. but we should not practice doing bad things, practicing or doing bad things is still in-slave to sin. but we are free to resist it. How is such a slavery or bondage broken? By accepting the gift that Christ has offered, the grace of God. What part does obedience have in breaking this bondage? by serving God wholeheartedly. In what areas is God speaking to you about a fresh obedience in your life? wholeheartedly serving Him, wholeheartedly do His will. and His command.
  3. If we offer our body to be use as instrument of sin, meaning we are willing fully submitting, obeying, agreeing or supporting the wicked things. if we will not applying the word of God into our life, for sure we will sin's, sometimes we sin unconsciously because we don't follow the word that God commanded us, we compromise our faith. Romans 12:1 said "do not conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God" What changes? first we we have to renewed our mind set, by reading the word of God, by applying it to our life.
  4. As "reign" was defined as the ruler, the one w/ authority, the one w/ dominion. as "obedience" defined as to follow, to obey, subject to. If we are under the authority or if sin's ruled in us, what we do is to obey what the one who ruled over us. what Paul said in Romans For the good that i will to do, i do not do; but the evil i will not to do, that i practice. v19 because sin is the one dwells in our flesh.
  5. When we accept and when we confess Christ to be our savior and Lord it is the time we put headship to us. we've to put always our trust in Him - putting our trust in Christ recognizing Him as our head.
  6. RECKON-it simply means to count or number something, it was often used metaphorically to refer to having an absolute, unreserved confidence in what one's mind knows to be true - the kind of heartfelt confidence that affects his actions and decisions. physically and spiritually it effects to our live when we consider the truth that the death of Christ is our death. that we know that we freed from the bondage of slavery of sin, that the lies of the devil won't work in us now.
  7. It makes powerless or inoperative when our old self died with Christ, we are been remove to un-regenerated self's presence, and control. so we should not follow the remaining memories of it's sinful ways. verse 7 said that "for he who has died has been freed to sin" when we died with Christ automatically we are freed from the slavery of sin. now we are slave of righteousness. v12 "Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body that you should obey it in its ****. v13 "And do not present your members as instrument of unrighteousness to sin, but present yourselves to God as being alive from the dead, and your members as instrument of righteousness to God."
  8. Paul was referring to the death of all believers. Paul is talking about the death of Christ but he is also talking about our death. for we all have sinned, and the wages of sin is death. this death becomes our own, for we died we Christ (Rom.6:8a) His death is also our death.
  9. Buried is correspond to the immersion. if a person die he will be buried. in us we die in our sin's through immersion, our old sinful life will be buried. Christ was raised from the dead on the 3rd day. when Christ was raised He is a new Jesus with glorify body. us when we raised it means that we are new creation through Christ baptism.
  10. through baptism it brings our union with Christ. union to His death, union to His resurrection, and union to all His suffering. Baptism symbolize our death and resurrection. it is our public confession that we are united with Christ. that we are in Christ. 2 Cor. 5:17 said "If anyone is in Christ he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold new things have come." Baptism also telling us to start a new life.
  11. in Gen 1:26 God made a man at His own image and He gave to this man the dominion of all. by God's word Adam has the right to represent us. as our head when he sinned all that he represent sinned too. Christ as head died for the sins of all. col.3:3 for you died and your life is hidden with Christ in God. all that died in Christ is in Christ, and his lives is hidden. by Baptism we are united with Christ. if Christ is not our representative or head, his death will be useless, and i think he will not put to death on the cross. what for he will be crucified, he will represent nothing. as a representative he is willing to bear our sins at the cross of Calvary.
  12. Sin was already in the world before God gave the mosaic law. but it was not imputed, because there was no explicit list of command, there where no strict accounting of their specific point of violation. when the law is present that causes man's sin to increase. thus it made men more aware of their own sinfulness and inability to keep God's perfect standard. it is also serve as a tutor to drive them back to God.
  13. The Father being the head of the family, act for an entire family group. he decide, plan. In the church the Pastor is the one who act for church as a group of believer. he is the one who decide for the church. and the members did is to follow for they love and obey him.
  14. Reconciliation means coming back to God, to have a good relation, forgetting the past. it is God's will to reconcile to sinner, By the death of Christ is the only means that we sinners can reconcile to God.
  15. Paul say that we are ungodly, we are enemies of God.the truth Christ died for us, Christ died not for those who are good, not for those who need little help. but for those people who are wretchedly lost. He died for people who are completely ungodly. Christ died for our worst (our sin) The death of Christ at the cross is the assurance that our sinned are forgiven.
  16. Just because we've been justified by faith does not mean that our lives will be without suffering. God uses suffering in our lives to our benefit. We must rejoice because suffering works perseverance. when we live at peace with God we've the opportunity persevere in the storm of life. troubles and trials cannot harm us. Perseverance develops through suffering and perseverance create proven character. people who can persevered trials can be trusted. Proven or tried character develops hope - Hope develops when we see that we can stand difficulties in our lives and endure. Hope in God does not disappoint us. from the depth of our suffering and from the pain of our perseverance we are experiencing God's love being poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit. Hope grows from the love that is given to us by His Spirit in our lives.
  17. Faith is believing for the things which is not visible, and trusting to God.Justification or Justified comes from the Greek word for Righteous. the relation of Faith and justification - it always work together for w/out faith we will not been justify. same as faith and work, w/out work are faith will be dead. to be justified means we are declared righteous by God thru our faith in Christ Jesus. God bless you all.
  18. = Mary's response to the Angel is her willingness to submit humbly to the will of God. = We should response to God as Mary did. Yielding, submitting humbly to God's will. = Whatever the words tell's us, we must said be unto me according to your word. but we must do our part, we must put it unto practice. as James said "faith is dead w/out deeds". = If we response to God's command, we must not forgot that we are His servant, always ask His will be done.
  19. The virgin conception, teaches us that Jesus Christ is man and God, Man for He was give birth by human, God for He was conceived by the Holy Spirit. John 1:1 ....the word was w/ God and the word was God and in v14 ...word became flesh
  20. In Mary's "How"? question, it is a question with innosence, for she was a virgin one, but with full of faith for what Angel Gabriel said will happen. Zechariah "How"? is a question with full of doubt and unbelief, for his old age and wife a barren one. Mary was rewarded for she humbly believe and accepted the word thar Angel Gabriel told her about, Zechariah was discipline for his doubt and unbelief.
  21. His name will be called Jesus, He will be great and He will be called the Son of the most High, and God will give Him the throne of David, and He will be King and will reign over the house of Jacob forever and in His Kingdom there will be no end.
  22. 1. David had a deep longing for God. he describes the longing as that of a thirsty deer. the Psalmist feeling was frustration, he was in exile, frustrated because he cannot worship with God's people at God's house, he was discourage and dispair. 2. the Psalmist did not stay there, instead of letting the circumstance rule him, he turned to God with faith. he reminded himself to trust and hope in God, he reminded himself that God would deliver him from his enemy, for God's loving kindness will not fail. the psalmist will praise Him again. 3. yes! i also feel and experienced spiritual depression. mostly if i felt that God is not listening to me, sometimes if there is something not good happen to my family. but like the Psalmist i remind myself to trust and hope in God, i prayed, listen to His word, praise Him again.
  23. 1. To dwell in the house of the Lord means to be with Him, the House of the Lord is the place where true worship be done. the primary issue in David's life is to live was to live in Goid's presence and by His purpose 2. Seek His face - God's face indicates His personal presence or simply His being. seeking of His face is the primary characteristic of true believers who desires fellowship with God. David's desires was to had fellowship with his God, he want to know God more 3. if we seek His face, dwell in His temple, and wait upon the Lord, God will lift up us high, He will renewed our strength. David provide hope by seeking God's face, dwelling in God's temple, and waiting upon God
