  1. Jesus suffered for me personally by taking all my sins and becoming sin for me!! He endured pain and anguish that I cannot begin to understand, so that I would be brought to God. I am so thankful that I have been redeemed by his precious blood and saved!!
  2. Christ's example is a model for me in all situations. My behavior is going to be different in me monitoring my thoughts and my attitude. I will take more time to think before speaking, so that my words might always honor God, and show my love for others.
  3. We should follow the Bible as an example of how to handle injustice in the workplace. I believe we should go to the person, and try to get things worked out with Christian love. Of course, sometimes this works, and other times it does not. We should always pray about the situation. God will take care of us. I do not believe we should be a complainer. Complaining might give others a negative view of Christians. Why would others want Jesus in their lives if all they see and hear us do is complain?
  4. God does expect us to do a good job for our employers. This shows our character and integrity to others. We dishonor God when we don't give our full effort to our job, because ultimately, He is to get glory in all that we do. Our work should be done with honesty, and excellency.
  5. God's glory is depenent on us living obedient lives because all that we do should be to his glory. If we are being disobedient, he does not get any glory from that. God is hurt when we are rebellious because we are his children. He dwells in us, yet we do not show that when we go against his will.
  6. Good deeds by living openly as Christians will be seen by others and may influence others toward Christ. Blending in detracts from God's praise because it makes us , as Christians, no different from the world. This is what gives Christians a bad name. Our good deeds are in vain if we do not separate ourselves from the world.
  7. Peter tells us to stay away from evil lusts. This can help us because if we avoid being in contact with things that keep us from God, we will not be tempted as easily. We should not live as the world, but live to prepare ourselves for our true home.
  8. What an honor to be considered part of a royal priesthood. We should be inspired to live regally for God.
  9. I should be praising God by sharing my salvation with others and trying to witness about Christ to them. I should be in continual prayer and be thanking God for my very breath. All things should be done with him in mind.
  10. The mindset of a priest towards God is one of praise and reverence. The actions that this inspires in me is to be sincere and constant in my service to God.
  11. Yes, there have been times when I felt worthless. 1 Peter 1:18-19 states I am worthy of Christ's blood. God loved me enough to send his son to save my soul. My finances and assests mean nothing because they will perish. True long-term investments are those we put into serving God. Our purpose is to lead others to salvation. We are to lay treasures up in heaven. In the end, nothing else matters.
  12. Pride and our own self-righteousness keeps us from wanting to be judged by others. John 3:16 reconciles judgement with God's love for the world. Final judgement must be the core of the Good News because otherwise, we would be living to please ourselves. There would not be the focus on Christ that we should have. If this judgement was not in place, we wouldn't worry about the final destination of our loved ones, or others in this world either. If the Gospel was left out or ignored, Christ's crucifiction would be in vain.
  13. Holiness is being set apart to serve God. I do not feel holy in any sense. It is only by the redemption of the blood of Jesus that God sees me as a finished product and therefore, holy. To become holy, I neeed to continually pray, ask God's forgiveness, and let the spirit of God work within me. My biggest struggle with holiness is thinking that if I work harder to live better for Christ, I will do better. I struggle daily with keeping my sights continually on God and not being the witness that I should. I can do nothing on my own. I need to pray more to ask God to guide me.
  14. We need to be diligent about saving souls. Christ's coming should inspire hope, because we do not have much time here to spend suffering or with earthly trials. It should inspire self-control and soberness so we can be an example to others. We get slack in our job when we don't really expect Christ to come soon. We also don't live with our minds on Christ like we should.
