Having been raised in a church where the glory of God was rarely mentioned, and having only in the past few years been subjected to this teaching, I find myself still unfamiliar and tentative in worshipping Him as King of Glory. 2 Corinthians 3:18 tells us that the God's glory comes to us "from the Lord, who is the Spirit".

"High and Lofty One who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy" is at once precious and humbling. How can I conduct myself any other way than to try and bring glory to such a God--one of complete power and holiness.

The connotation "Most High" is hard for me to grasp. It appears to leave room for lesser gods. I am much more comfortable with "I Am that I Am". God does not have to defend His position, nor does he in that phrase.
