  1. Jesus enemies heeded his prediction of being raised on the third day when Jesus said in John 2:18-22 that he would destroy this temple and raise it within three days and the jews replied ithas taken forty six years to build this temple and you are going to raise it in three days It was a lack of understanding that Jesus was actually talking about his own body not the temple building. Jesus also told the story of Jonah and his three days in the fishes belly as a sign of his resurrection Mathew12:39-40. As we see in Luke 24:7-8 that these examples didnt seem to register with his disciples but his words werent lost on the Pharisees and chief priests. As a result of this the Pharisees and chief priests went to pilate saying {we remember that while he was still alive that deciever being Jesus said after three days I will rise again}. So the Pharisees had Pilate order that the tomb be made secure untill the third day because they were so afraid the disciples would come and steal the body then go and tell people that he had been raised from the dead
  2. Jesus when he said that he was the resuraction and the life was showing that he was the long awaited messiah that the jews had been waiting for He was also the passover lamb who was the sacrifice on the cross for our sins the part Jesus played in the resurection was dying on the cross for our sins so that we once again were able to go to God direct so enabling us to have eternal life once we asked ror forgiveness off our sins
  3. According to scripture, both the righteous and unrighteous will experience resurrection? What will be the result of resirrection for the righteous? John 5;28-29 says all will hear his voice who are in the graves and shall come forth those who have done good to the resurrection of life and those who have done evil unto the resurrection of damnation. Acts tell us in verse 15 thatwe are to have hope towards God which they themselves also allow that there shall be a resurrection of the dead both of the just and unjust This shows us thatthe righteous will be raised to everlasting life and live with our heavenly father eternally
  4. Jobs vision of the resurrection differs from that of jews former understnding in that job knew the father and knew by faith of what had been revealed to him that those who believed in God would be perscuted as Jesus was yet he knew tat he would be raised up to eternal life while to the jews of the time did not believe that there was eternal life as Sheol was the grave and you stayed in the ground
