God always see us in the positive. The way we don't see our selves. Gideon absolutely did not see himself as a mighty warrior. He saw himself from a poor family and the "black sheep". When God called him something good, he was caught off balanced. Once we begin to study the Bible and see ourselves as God see us, we can begin to build our confidence and be who God has called us to be. We have to find our Place in life.

They served other gods and completely ignored God. This is a behavior Christians practice today. I know personally, I have ignored and served other gods i.e. money, relationships, jobs, self. Foolishly choosing to ignore God's saving grace in my life. It is easy to forget where God has brought up from and what He desires to do in our lives. When we do this, we have to face the heart wrenching consequences of bad behavior. I would rather be for God than against Him.

In January I started reading through the Bible. I am now in the Book of Judges. I am looking forward to the Gideon bible study. I live in Atlanta. I am a director for a girls etiquette & manners program and a former youth director.
