  1. The significance is that Hezekiah realized that this was for the Lord. He realized who he is and how limited he is. Hezekiah realized that it was not about him but the Lord. He gave over to the Lord and said tell me what you want me to do and I will do just that. This is your battle and I am your servant. Because I know who you are and that you are limitless in all things, my faith is in you. The underlying principle is trust and obey. "What a friend we have in Jesus, all our sins and griefs to bear, what a privilege it is to carry everything to God in prayer; Oh what peace we often forfeit, Oh what needless pain we bear, All because WE DO NOT CARRY EVERYTHING TO GOD IN PRAYER," The study referenced several scriptures, but one that really stayed with me was Zechariah 4:6. "Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit." This is such a strong scripture that gives insight on we are to conduct ourselves. We are to be determined in the Holy Spirit. This means it is not about us. The Holy Spirit is our Helper. We need to seek his help. We need Him. We can apply this principle by seeking God first in all things we do. "In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your path," Proverbs 3:6. Before we make a move we should always ask God to show us the way. That is not all, we must also wait for him to answer. When we do not apply this principle, we have a mess on our hands. Our spirits become out of sync, the joy in our lives is stifled. We have to be straightened out before the task at hand can begin to take place.
  2. Abraham's argument is based on his relationship with God. In getting to know God he became aware of what he stands for. He had developed a love that contained respect, but also telling God what was on his mind. He knew that God was compassionate, merciful and just. From this he prayed to God and stated that the innocent should not suffer with the guilty. Why punish those that have lived according to your will? At least allow them the opportunity to leave before destruction. You are known as as a just God so you must extend right justice.
  3. The Psalm teaches us to praise God with every fiber of our being. Our praises are to be exuberant, emotional, unrestrained to say the least. Praise is to occur anywhere and everywhere because everything was created by God. When we praise God use whatever is at your disposal to give him praise. This can be done with dance, song, musical instruments, alone or with others. Whatever you use, put all of yourself into it; but allow your spirit to lead. After reading this I am invigorated. My spirit feels even more alive.
  4. It seems that both believed that he is the creator over everything. They also know that nothing is possible without approval from God Most High. Also that everything belongs to God Most High, all power is in his hands.
