The basis of Christian joy is our SALVATION IN JESUS CHRIST. Once we are saved we feel a sense of belonginess and relief, we see the world in a different light, the light of JESUS!!! It differs with the general coception of happiness, because even though it makes us happier and at peace in the inside, does not necesserally makes things easier in our interelations. Extra credit: Genuine joy comes from the heart and is between onself and GOD, it shows and is lasting.
