if God loves us and predestined us and called us then what power on earth or in heaven can stop that or change our relationship. Enemies. The world the Flesh and the Devil.Vs 28 And "we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love god, to those who are called according to his purpose" It makes me feel that even when I make mistakes and fail him he does not fail us. Even in my flesh when I choose wrong he chooses right for us. Good ness is our mandate from God. This gives me incredible hope. Hope that is based on Gods power and not on my failures or decisions. I aways said that Persisience of the saint is Gods Heart for us. It shows me that my focus needs to be on him and glory is his alone therefore I will strive to do his will and allow him to have the glory not my self.. Grace is the unmaritted favor of God so God chooses by his grace to give us all things. He gave us right to the kingdom of God whcih we now live in and the right to all things according to his will, plan and purpose.

It is alluded to many times that we would know that we are his sons and daughters. It is like telling your son or grandson that you love him many times The promises was the inheritance we are sons and daughters of the God. At present we experience suffering. The Spirit of God helps us in our weakness.Great glory is coming. We will share in his glory and rule and rein with christ.

This is an interesting question becuase it eludes to many questions. First We do not have to sin since our new nature has died to sin under the grace and work of our lord. It is posiible to live without sin I beleive many do and have. If we can keep our focus on Him and not on the world and it's pleasures; the flesh and its desires: and the devil and his actions. Our attitude should be in christ Jesus and decide in advance of what territory will will take back from the ememy. Since we are free from sin and its works What in our lives, can we build an alter on and say this is it and do not look back. I think the age old voice comes to our mind and as it "did to eve in the Garden. "Did God really say that". We must know what God says on these issues in our lives and drive a stake in the ground. We must stop playing the game of did god really say that[/b].[/b] If we know the Bible to be true then we have power over sin in the spirit.. "Lord let me draw close to you and allow your spirit to have power in my life over sin" and Lord even if it is not willful sin and I fail becuase of emotions or attitue the grace of God will cover that for me. Then help me lord not to repeat that sin so I can move on. This issue with sin is like Abraham in Egypt. He cam e back again and again even his son went a lied to pharo. Sin results does vists other generation So let us take hold of the truth and it shall set us free to live a live of grace and truth. Lord give me and others in this group your grace that you may defeat the ememy in our lives. We really need to pray for each other in this course that the Lord will display power in our lives over these sins.

Set your mind on Christ. Remeber peter when he got out of the boat in faith. When he kept his mind on Christ he walked on the water, when he did not he started to sink. Our lives mst be centred and focused on JESUS. Through Daily Bible reading to know his word but more importantly to confirm it in our spirit his word. The word brings pwoer from on high over your circumstances and sin. When you start to focus on the world and its answers to daily issues then you divert your ways. I find that it is important to change our behavior. That means a daily focus on Christ for the next 40 days ( 40 being important in the bible) will set a behavior in place to accomplish Gods plan. If we have to think about it , we will not do it. Bible reading prayer etc. It must become a behavior and even then we will find our minds and hearts to wander but God will speak to us about our behavior. Much of our actions are deliberate and others are a condition reponse or behavior. By reading and focusing our habits toward God. The lord says if you we seek me with all of your heart jer 29:13 then he will be found to bring. Seek first the kingdom of God. The holy spirt will energize us with power over sin if we tap into the source.The will is to seek God with all of our hearts and power will be released in our lives to overcome sin. The law is the Lord Law written to distingish between right and wrong. We are incapable of keeping the law becuase the law has no power accomplish this task. It is glorious and righteous word written to specify the truth. The weak link is sin in us that we have no power to control in ourselves What the law could not do, came in a person. This person was written about in the law" Isaiah 53 "All we like sheep have gone astray, we have turned every one to his own way; and Jehovah hath laid upon him the iniquity of us all. Yet it pleased Jehovah to bruise him; he hath subjected [him] to suffering. When thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see a seed, he shall prolong [his] days, and the pleasure of Jehovah shall prosper in his hand. 11He shall see of [the fruit of] the travail of his soul, [and] shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant instruct many in righteousness; and *he* shall bear their iniquities. In all Jesus through the holy spirit died for us to pay for our sins therefore he has given us power over sin with this knowledge and spirit. Jesus is our savior and lord !

We have to be less complicated about this and see that paul is refering to himself but also so other can identify with paul in understanding the theology of Gods purpose in recording these verses. Paul want everyone to know that he sturggles with sin like others maybe not willfull sin that is obvoius to the flesh but certainly sin that stalks us, all of our lives. The bible make it clear that sin will be present till the end, then we will be free. So let us not feel that we will be free from sin becuase of this teaching but let us know that as we feed the spirit in our lives that sin will become less and less but if we feed the flesh then the opposite will occur. I beleive Paul was in his last days in Rome when he wrote this as he knew the end was coming and wanted us to know the war that sin creates. It is the spirits job through Paul of explaining the human condition The last word of the verse serves the best as he says all then says " for sin shall not have Mastery over you"Power to dominate or defeat sin in our lives for Grace is the power!!!I beleive pwoer over willful and repeative sins Let all be humble enough to know that becuase of our nature we will fail again in sin but the grace of God is more powerful than sin Therefore once saved always saved and I beleive paul was saved when he wrote these verses other wise he would of never undertood the war within.

Total depravity: Man has no ability to contribute or add to the work of God. he also has no ability to choose Good becuase of his depraved nature. The heart is wicked None. becuase is is decieved by the flesh, It does not know what he does not know. He may even know Gods word but it means nothing to him even it meant something he is powerless to choose right Bible teaches that Man is born in sin and is a sinner by nature. There is nothing in him that can change him to choose good All have sinned

The law exposes sin for what it is. it also reavels God heart for his people to know the truth. It creats in us a desie to serve sin as our sinful nature in us is powerless to to over come the sin. It reveals in us our sin ful nature and make it clear that we are sinner by nture and the flesh as accomplished by our first father Adam. Adam was powerless not to choose sin and he was not t take of the tree. It is alos powerless to save us a it has not power intself to change our hearts, minds or choices. It is a statued that presents the truth of God The problem is withouts Christ saving grace. we are powerless do any thing about the law It just is and does There is no power in the law just knowing and understanding it precepts.

Our God is a God of truth a justise there fore he wants us to know the truth. Truth is truth therefor not knowing is ingnornace of the truth. God would want us to understand the truth therefore he would wantt us to know that the law is do not covet Our flesh on the other hand has two nature the nature of flesh and the nature of the spirit regenerated by the lord. Therefore the flesh responds by the only way it knows to covet but the spirit respond by do not covet. It is God's way of giving us a power over the flesh so we can chose him and his name woukld be gloried becuase of our choice.

The flesh is represented in two ways the actual physical body that all the human race is a part of and the flesh represents the evil nature that lives within us that was given to us through Adam. This how the body chooses to satisfy its desires and needs

I guess God gave us free will to make choices other wise we would robots. beleive there is no hestitation to take the side of christ, I desire that more than anything. I think it is aligning our thinking and behavior to fullfill our hearts desire. When we do this renewing of the mind and actions then the lord adds his power I state here to day that I long for the day when we live only to please God and our choices will be only right. Lord help me to live a life of righteousness and allow me the privilage to serve you as king.

It is clear that good teaching of doctrine enlightens and encourages the generated soul of Jesus Christ becuase it agrees with the spirit that lives within us. Therefore if the teaching gives us peace and joy lets not only agree but do. Meaning to follow through with action. I have found no peace in sin but only heartache but then I seem to be on a path to continue. When I read the doctrines and teachings of the Lord, it bring power and peace to my life. Now we truly do have a choice to sin or not BUT this difference is, the doctrine and the holy spirit gives us power to make the right choice. With doctrine you must have faith in God that he will help you to make the right choice. Today I have peace and Joy, the fruits of the spirit that I have chosen wisely or rather Godly. Avoiding teaching from sources that encourage the world the flesh and the devil. Meaning watch what goes into your mind through TV and Radio and Reading materials, as those too are doctrines. Any teaching that elevates the above will surley secure a place in your heart.

The duty of willingness. Willing to serve sin rather than God. Pleasing Satan rather than God. So if we please satan he is our God but if we please the Lord of all then we are obedient to him. Wanting and willing to please him. How do we break the circle of sin? How do just stop serving this Master. Sin. If we all have sinned then do we not all serve sin. Lord help me to be obedient to you and serve only you!

If we are convinced that he dies to sin then I should be convinced that I also died. And he lives to God then I also should be doing the same. So it is the truth, trully truly I am dead to sin but alive in chirst How do I consider this all the time. The times that I fail are times of exhaustion or great success. These times when you look for ways to get peace. How then to I turn to him at that second, to die to sin? I have found this to be a great mystery. That in my head I know that he die for me and my sin but in my heart I look to other things to bring me peace. The irony I find no peace in other things Lord help me to knowly submit to you in these time that sin seem so attractive and honey to my lips but bitter to my taste, What a great god he is that he has given up it all for us!! Can we truly die to sin!

If we had died with him in Baptism, that sin may be done away with. We have union with Christ I do not understand that I continue to sin. Where is the power over sin in us if we have been freed from sin? How can I live for Christ completely?

Adam is the lords first created man therefore he represents all of mankind. Christ is the first born of God in to human kind. They first adam was created a fell into sin therefore brought sin to all mankind. The second adam, not born of the will of man brought righteuosness. All who follow christ become his disciples. His death brought us to life and made us righteuos before god. Not our righteuosness but his therefore effective for us when we accept his work of salvation on the cross.

As soon as we accept christ as our savior we are under the headship of christ. we died to self and to sin. What must we do to bring about a change in headship ?? dont know?

Adam represents human kind by God created order Adam first. Christ was born to this world to experience the world of man so no one could say he did not know us. But more importantly to die for our transgressions so that we might be saved by grace onto God all in Adam die all in Christ have eternal life.

yes there can be sin without the law, Sin in itself is transgression against another person, group of nation. You fail to consider the consequences of your actions therefor the law mad you aware of your sin God created world was created and it was Good not bad. The universal law of god is god but becuase of our transgression and that of adam we choose bad and life bad uness christ changes us to realize our falures.

family memebers are tied to each other. Nationed are tied to each other by laws, companies are tied to each other by management.

Reconsiliation is the coming together after a separation. We have been separated from God by sin and through the work of the cross we have been brought back to the Lord, Savation is a work of God. We are saved when we recieve him. Jesus is guiding and moving through us to accomplish his will, if we give our will to him

For God wishes that non should perish, Gold is love Corithians 13, always hope always love long suffering in hope that non will give into the devils lies. But through his soveighnty he knows who will choose there for the devil has no foothold. We are never too bad like the thief on the cross you can be saved but must accept the work of the cross and the fact that we have sinned and are in need of repentance.

Suffering and tribulation is acting out of our faith. It is testing of our faith is true. Jesus said in this world you shall have tribulation. So we are to trust in God through tough times. rely on is grace ( paul said my grace is sufficient for you) and lean on him for the answers and direction
