  1. Our suffering caused by the sin of this world will end and we shall be forever with the Lord. We will be like Him at the rapture. There is so much physical suffering in this broken world and so many people are hurting and sin abounds at every turn. For Christians that will all be over and joy and peace will reign. I live for the hope of being forever with Jesus. God calls us to work out our salvation and to do His will. In so doing, we will lay up for ourselves eternal treasures in heaven. Looking for Christ return fills us with hope for living an eternity with Jesus. If one does not know the Lord, they do not have that blessed expectancy, therefore have no reason to have hope. What does anyone have hope for who does not know Jesus?
  2. That even though we do not see Him, we love Him and believe in Him and this fills our hearts with joy. When a person is truly connected to Jesus in a loving and personal relationship, there is joy and it does not matter what the circumstance may be, whether in good times or bad. That's not to say that we are always smiling and happy. That would be fake and even though we are God's kids we have very human emotions. Joy comes from just knowing the Lord and understanding that He is in complete control of my life. When me or someone I know is going through an especially difficult time and optimism is high and complete faith in the Lord is lived and expressed, you know joy is present. The joy comes from knowing where our help comes from.
  3. So many times God brought me through difficult situations where my faith was tested. It was never easy or painless, but God used these times of testing to strengthen and shape me. Because of the things I have had to go through, God has been able to use me to minister to other women going through similar trials and to be a testimony to God's mercy and grace. My tested faith has endured and become stronger over the years, lagging at times, but always there. I look over my life and see what God has brought my through and I can't help but praise Him and give Him all the glory and honor. We have a close and loving relationship and I can definitely see God's hand print on my life. I love my Lord with all that is in me and will be forever thankful and humbled by Him.

  5. God's Word says you can't have faith without works. You cannot have either without the other, otherwise they are dead. When we walk in obedience to God it involves work. Whatever he has designed for each of us to do. Most of the time the things He asks us to do requires a great deal of faith, other times not as much, but with everything we do for Him, faith is needed. As a child of God, you cannot live with one and not the other unless you simply choose to be an unhappy Christian. God's Word says our salvation is free. Just as with faith being dead without works and also works without faith, salvation would not be free without God's grace. We cannot do anything to deserve His grace and salvation. He loves us so much that He gives it to us without charge.
  6. God is our shield and our fortress. He secures our path as we follow His will. We are to use faith that He gave us and trust Him as a child would trust.
  7. Without a doubt, God has brought me through some things that at the time I didn't know if I could actually do it. But God strengthened me and showed me His love for me and His desire to have a close loving relationship with me. He taught me to be totally dependent on Him with complete trust and sometimes that is not always easy when you can't see Him. For me the trust has developed over years of seeing God's faithfulness working in my life.
  8. We are to have faith in God and He does what we can't do. We can rest in the knowledge that our Heavenly Father is always watching over us.
  9. Once we are born again it is God's desire for us to follow Him in obedience to His Word and that should be a new believers desire as well. God intends that we as new Christians should grow in the knowledge of who He is and how He desires to be in every aspect of our lives, directing and guiding us according to His will.-God's word tells us that faith without works is dead. He also says the opposite is true. Salvation is a gift that we cannot receive by our works. but only by the grace of God and it is free.
  10. God's Word tells us to lay up for ourselves treasures in Heaven, but this person may seek his treasures on earth by trying to surround himself with all of the material wealth he could afford. - Yes I have, but the closer I become to the Lord the less I seek earthly treasures. - We have to come to the realization that the earth and all that is in it belongs to God and if we desire creation more than we desire the Creator our lives will be empty, joyless, and without real peace which only comes when we truly surrender all to him. Even our earthly treasures which really belong to Him any way.
