That they will know the hope of his calling (Christ in you the hope of glory); the riches of the inheritance with the saints and the power the believer has. This will give a full understnding of all God has for them. Unless their eyes are enlightened they will not be able to grasp spiritual things (the things of God are spiritually discerned). They would focus on the physical with their physical eyes and understanding. So they need enlightment to see and to have faith in order to take a hold of the things God has proviced for the church. (Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God) This power operates in those who believe. The power that raised Jesus from the dead. As Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we should live in the newness of life.

Through union with Christ, this power has resident in and working in the Church. God has establised the church by His eternal purpose through redemption in Christ Jesus. This Power is in Abundance! P.T. L. The power is not evident in the church because believers are not grasping the significance of this mighty power. When we, through this power, walk in the newest of life we will manifest God's plan for the Church. In other words, His plans will be accomplished through this great power; this resurrection power! This will bring Glory to God!

He plans to use the Church in the exercise of his Power and authority. The Church has the power as long as it is use for the mission and purpose in which it was intended.

The significance of Paul's statement that God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ is that this placing gives us the same authority and unlimited and immeasurable great power over anything that is against God and his eternal plan. Power to witness, power to live victoriously, opower to be a manifestion of God's glory!

The right hand or side is a place of honor and authority. "Under His feet" because Christ has total and complete authority over everything and everybody!

This will give a full understanding of all that God has for them. Unless their eyes are enlightened, they will not be able to understand spiritual things. (Thhe things of God are spiritually discerned.) This enlightment will enable them to be increased in their faith. This mighty power operates in those who believe. The Word preached not mixed with faith is not profitable. The example of the resurrection power that raised Jesus from the dead.
