  1. HI everyone, Q2. Why would loosening of sexual standards to conform to the prevailing morals of the culture be destructive of vital Christian faith and witness? Because we are always looking for ways to do what we want to and at the same time to be in good standing with God. To call sin the sexual relationships out of matrimony, practising homosexualism, practising lesbianism and many other forms of sexual depravation create a big struggle for many Christians today; we end up with a lot of unwanted pregnancies that may end up in abortion and on the same token the church is ordaining practicing homosexuals and lesbians to the ministry. How has your culture tended to take the edge off your own Christian moral convictions or forced you to be quiet about them? By means of the law of the land and by attacking the integrity of the scripture or simply by pointing out the brokenness of those that seek holiness and purity according to scriptures. May the Lord bless you always, Gurdian
  2. Blessings to everyone, Q1. How can a local congregation lose its "first love" for Jesus? A local congregation loses its
  3. Blessings, I regret not being able to answer all the questions, but I surely enjoyed the study and the answers of everyone. What convictions has God formed in you through this "Vision for the Church" Bible Study that will make a difference on how you think about, value, and act toward your own local congregation? Every day I think about the power that is with in me as a member of the body of Christ. When I am discouraged and think about the power of the church, it moves me to seek comfort in the body, so, today I value the church even more. Towards the greater Church around the world? The very experience of the bible study with many brothers and sisters in Christ from different parts of the world has opened my eyes. I now understand a little bit better how much I need my family in Christ to learn more about God. May the Lord Bless you always, Raul Gurdian
  4. Blessings everyone, Q3. (Ephesians 2:19b) What does the phrase "members of God's household" tell us about the nature of the Church and about the nature of God? The phrase
  5. Hi everyone, Q2. (Ephesians 2:19a) If we are fellow-citizens with the Jewish believers, what are we citizens of? We are citizens of the kingdom of God In what sense are we "holy" or "saints"? In the sense that we are separated for God and we do not form part of this world, so our laws come from our King. Him we obey before man May the Lord bless you always, Raul Gurdian
  6. Hi everyone, q1. (Ephesians 2:16-18) Why is "access to the Father" important? It is important because when we access him as our father, he make us part of the family of God, so anyone from any place, race or culture become brothers and sisters in God
  7. Hi everyone, (thanks Sunshine for your encouragement) (Ephesians 3:20-21) Where does God's power work according to verse 20? Glory to God. God
  8. Hi everyone, (Ephesians 1:23) What does it mean for us Christians that Christ is "head over everything for the church"? What does this say about the Church's power? it means Christ is the ruler, director, commander, king and Lord of the body the church, but many times we forget that. And so the power is used many times by the church to do it will, rather than Christ will. Help us Lord to do your will and to make you Lord of our lives, so when we use your power be for your honour and glory. May the Lord Bless you always, Raul Gurdian
  9. Hi everyone, (Ephesians 2:6) From the standpoint of power, what is the significance of Paul's statement that "God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus...."? If we only could bring to our hearts what we know in our minds; that Christ
  10. Hi everyone, I hope it is not too late. What is the significance to them of Paul saying that Christ is seated at God's right hand in the heavenly realms? It is significant for the Ephesians, for they could serve God and not be exposed to fear the power of the gods they were believing in. In what sense are these spirit beings and powers "under his feet"? These spirits beings are under Crhist power in all senses. they are nutralized, they no longer could post a danger to God's people. they can not harm us any longer and even if they come to us to harm us, it has to go through God's trone. Job 1: 6-12
