  1. Besides those mentioned, the one that came to mind is a fairly new one called "We cry holy" Here are the lyrics. It is a wonderful song of worship!! WE CRY HOLY We fall down, We lay our crowns at the feet of Jesus The greatness of Mercy and Love At the feet of Jesus We cry Holy, Holy, Holy We cry Holy, Holy, Holy We cry Holy, Holy, Holy Is the Lamb
  2. We don't see our need for God enough and therefore we are apathetic towards Him. We have made "rules" that we can "keep" and thereby feel righteous and declare our independance from God. If we go to church and "act right" on the outside then we are righteous and God is pleased with us. This is false. We are sinners more than we can imagine. The depth of our sin is deep and our good deeds are as rubbish. The more we realize the depth of our sin, the bigger our God will need to be to forgive us for those sins. If we realize how deep our need for God is, then we won't be apathetic about the grace that abounds towards those that love Him
  3. The compromise distracted them from worshipping the true God. They were satisfying their flesh rather than their Spirit. 21st Century Christians look to many things to replace God (money, power, sex, comfort). The real compromise is to look to things other than God to meet the true longings of our heart.
  4. We lose our first love by focusing on other things besides the gospel. The most attractive distraction being legalism. We try to work on keeping the law rather than loving the Lord who fulfilled the law. We think we can do it ourselves and we forget how much we need a Savior.
  5. He is active and working in and through the church (His people). He speaks to His people and works in and through their lives. What a comfort!! He is not only at the right hand of God the father, but He is constantly walking among us.
  6. He is an all-powerful and exalted conqueror. He is glorified and transcendant (above all things). It is important to understand Jesus in this way because He is not only our personal, accesible friend, but He is the transcendant God of the universe. Many times I forget this and take Him for granted. I neglect time with Him because I don't see Him as the most incredible, exalted person that will ever be.
  7. Indonesia, India and the Middle East come to mind when I think of places where persecution is especially intense. These are places where you are not even allowed to worship privately, more less share your faith. Revelation reminds all of us, but especially those under intense persecution that the sufferings will end and that God will have the final victory. He will carry out His intense wrath upon those that oppose Him. It definately helps in the midst of the battle to know that victory is sure (there is NO DOUBT). The Lord and His kingdom will prevail. Do not lose heart!!!!
  8. Everything is under His control. He surrounds and controls time as well as all in existance. God is the authority figure that demands our worship. The words of God and those of Jesus are the same. This indicates that Jesus & the Father are one!! Jesus is fully man and fully God. He has all of the power & transcendance of the Father.
  9. Testimony & Witness are what we are called to do on this earth. We are to be ambassadors for Him & bear witness to His work in our lives. Therefore, a testimony and witness is central to our role as believers. Jesus bore witness in flesh as to the depth of the love of God. He was our example and we are to bear witness to the impact of Christ in our lives. We don't make clear witness because we are still afraid of the rejection of our culture and we don't fully believe the gospel. We are more concerned with the approval of men, rather than the approval of God.
  10. My name is Tom and I live in Budapest, Hungary. I just moved here this summer from Orlando, Florida and I'm working with a missions organization to find ways to use the Internet in ministry here in Eastern Europe. I'm looking forward to this study to deepen my walk with the Lord and also to learn about how the Internet can be used to do ministry.
