Rev 5:10 ".... kings and priests to our God and we shall reign on the earth ." reminds and re-emphasized to me of 1 Peter 2:9 that we are a chosen generation, a royal presthood, a holy nation. proclaiming praises to Him. We are kings and priests of our God. We must live like one and reign like one on the earth otherwise we may fail in our duties that God has given us this calling. We should not be like the servant who hid the talent in the ground and do nothing as described in Matthew 25:25 (the parable of the talents). Rev 5:9 reminds me of the Great Commission by Lord Jesus in the Gospels but in this verse the Commission has now fulfilled and completed. Praise God all the time!

Jesus is the Light of the World. Therefore the Lampstands refer Jesus is with us (with the churches of today). He will guide us through the tribulation. However we need to follow Him closely otherwise we will be like some of the 7 churches such as losing the first love, lukewarm with God etc.
