  1. Jesus is God and the significance of Him walking among the lampstands is to reaffirm that Jesus is the light of the world. He is the highest authority and He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead. Evil will be overcome. I always thought Revelation would be hard to understand. It is. I thought it would be frightening - fire and brimstone. It is not. It gives me great comfort and hope for eternal life. What a joy it will be to walk among Christ and all the angels and saints and all our loved ones in a time of true love. I think Pastor Ralph's explanations are thoughtfully and well-written. I'm a bit slow getting started, but think I will enjoy this very much. Thank you.
  2. Jesus IS God and leader of His church. Although as teacher, Jesus waqs humble and soft spoken, we must believe He is the all-powerful and redeeming God. This should give us great comfort if we try to do His will and always believe that if we err and are truly sorry, He will forgive us.
  3. Christians are suffering in many parts of the world today including Pakistan, Palestine, Ireland (although these are Christians agains Catholic Christians). Many Islamic-based nations persecute Christians. There is no doubt that God will win the battle over evil. Revelatlion reinforces that we must never lose our faith no matter what we suffer for it. The end in this case will definitely justifies the means. God is hope. God is our Saviour.
  4. These verses tell me that God has no beginning and no end. God clearly states that He is sending his Son. Jesus then states that He died and rose from the dead and uses the same descriptive words about Himself that the Father used. God is Jesus. Jesus is God. Parts one and two of the Trinity.
  5. I think testimory and witness come from God and Jesus, both unchallengeable sources, telling us why we must keep the faith and what will happen if we don't. Jesus as the "faithful witness" encourages us by who He is and what He has suffered for us to fulfill the prophecy by which He saved us. Who could possibly know more than God Incarnate? Sometimes modern Christians are too worldly and it is not perceived as cool, hip or sophisticated because we live in such a materialistic society and much of the world is so detached from God.
